Thunder are supposed to not be - but they keep winning. Beat Twolves by 9 tonight.

OT If the Rockets beat the Raptors, Kyle Lowry is going to be finding a new home, feeding into Sleepy Freud's "diabolical" plan.

Y'all are a bunch of kids. My irrationally good feeling was draft night 1995, Joe Smith. He was gonna be the one that launched Golden State to the title.

In discussing the various trades, it's important to realize that the value of draft picks is not just determined by the quality of player drafted, but also the fact that, in a relative sense, those players will have a reasonably low salary compared with other stars and will be under team control. All this talk about swapping picks for someone like Vucevic makes me uncomfortable - if we want to keep the dynasty, we need good young players at bargain salaries that might be getting max contracts in the future once the playing days of our three homegrown stars run out.

I was really hoping that Omari Spellman could become more than he did. Nice kid who got messed up in his head a bit and the Dubs were the perfect place to start over. He started slowly, then quickly showed some good stuff and just as quickly regressed until he wasn't even getting minutes on the team we had last year [which says a bit] before he was traded. Not sure what happened there but I feel bad for the kid.

I thought Omri Caspi was going to be a great fit for the Dubs. And he might have been - if he had kept on shooting 3s. Jonas Jerebko I liked a lot too - seemed like a super nice guy. The Swedish Larry Bird played pretty well at times - just not well enough... Another one was Ian Clark, who would have been great if he were a couple of inches taller with a bit more weight.

I really thought Omri Casspi was gonna be a super important bench piece. That shootout in Sacramento really impressed me. I thought Jonas Jerebko was a sneaky good signing. There was a time I thought Anthony Morrow was a better shooter than Steph. On the success side of the ledger, Seth Curry and Jeremy Lin were both low minute guys I thought could be successful given more minutes.

I’ve been having IRRATIONAL GOOD FEELING GUYS for a very long time lmao!

Draymond Green: Enough said. As you can tell by Green/McAdoo/Boucher/Jerebko, I’ve always had a fascination with versatile PF/C’s since I fell in love with Kevin Garnett. I was always looking for someone who could replicate that skillset.

James McAdoo: I thought he had the physical profile/skillset to become a really productive player. He was athletic, could handle the ball for a big, and was flashing some shooting

prowess + ability to defend on the perimeter. But he never really developed!

Chris Boucher: I thought he was really skinny, but with a NBA diet/training regimen I thought he could develop into a very nice player once he gained some strength. His shoot + handle combined with excellent shot blocking instincts made him a steal in my opinion. I think I was right here since I’ve heard he’s been doing well for other teams.

Jonas Jerebko: I thought he was going to be an absolute steal as a player who could shoot, made excellent decisions, and was versatile defensively even if he wasn’t good at it. I thought he was going to have a far bigger impact than he did.

Javale Mcgee: I loved the dude from the second he walked in and he was fantastic for us. I was always calling for him to get far more minutes than he did, but it seems like he showed in the Lakers that while he deserved slightly more minutes than he got from us, he wasn’t a 30+ minute starter like I thought he was for us.

Jordan Poole: I just liked his skillset in college and thought if he could just have better shot selection + play more off-ball like Klay then he would be a good player for us.

Looking at this list, it may seem like I'm some amazing GM, but its more that I'm a lot more cautious who I start paying attention to and start rooting for. For example, I didn't care much about Poole until his 14 game run last year. So yeah, I don't hop on the bandwagon as fast as some of you people, which explains why so many of my irrational good feeling guys panning out.

I thought Adonal Foyle would really break out after Dampier was gone and out of his way for the starting center job. I just really loved the guy, his personality, off court work and stuff, so I rooted for it to happen. Great shot blocker, and yeah, thought he’d get to show something much more with the starting job/minutes.

Oh man, I had an irrationally good feeling about Patrick McCaw before he had an irrationally bad feeling about the Warriors. Was seriously thinking about getting #0 jersey for a while (thankfully never did).

He's not even a Warrior, but Lonzo Ball is another guy I kind of irrationally like. He does a lot of important NBA things things at a sneaky high level. Only problem is, his scoring is... well, let's just say, he's in his 4th season in the NBA and the teams he's played a lot of minutes for have never been even remotely good. I'm coming to terms with the fact that his own shortcomings have to be a factor in that.

I *don't* think it's irrational to be optimistic about Mannion. He shows a lot of maturity and good instincts, his weaknesses look fixable, and being an NBA player runs in his family. Plus he's barely 20 and a rookie. He certainly could end up looking like a steal at 48th overall pick.
