“One Kelly Oubre hot streak away” Honestly, I’m pretty sure if Kelly were consistently hitting his career averages we’d be a couple game up in the record and looking at tops of the conference. The fact the team has strung together the Portland(win) and the ballsy LA games is pretty damn sweet with a critical player at rock-bottom offensively. That’s some seriously low-hanging fruit for dramatic improvement.
I think this should be a pretty competitive game, could easily go to everyone's favorite RANDOM ENDING. Lowry being questionable on the Toronto (Tampa?) side is roughly balanced with Wiggins and Looney questionable on the Golden State side.
Apparently VanVleet and Boucher led a massive comeback to beat Sac after being down almost 20 points in Q1. (Siakam and sophomore guard Terence Davis also had very high +/-.) From what I can tell, Boucher and Davis have been the bright spots in a fairly thin bench for Toronto this year. So this could be another night for Paschall to flex on the second unit and showcase the new Dubs' strength in numbers.
I hope Looney gets some rest. I want Looney to be healthy and Wiseman gets more playing time so it's a plus. Wiggins has been playing well so I hope he'll keep rolling. It's all about development for the young players and you can't develop just from watching despite what Kerr believes. I train people my whole career and people learn best when they're actually playing and doing things instead of watching from the bench or shadowing other people.
