Haha Sacramento just beat the Lakers

I'm a little puzzled.

If every other team in the NBA is also deeply infected by the noboxoutis (that's what rampant means), why are the Warriors one of the worst rebounding teams in the association?

It seems like Chase Center and the Bay Area are pretty stellar on health and safety protocols

Trail Blazers and Grizzlies won and the Spurs are up one late in OT against the Celtics.

Wizards are playing so well now that — tonight anyway — it has hurt Beal’s drive for the scoring title. He checked out early tonight with 19 points in 26 minutes and the Wiz up ~30 on the Cavs.

Update scoring title chase:

Curry 31.29

Beal 31.07

Not signing Payton seems pennywise and pound-beyond-foolish

Even if they wanted to be mediocre so they could keep the pick, running their players into the ground by playing small is just disastrous, I wish draymond would speak up on this, he always wants to run his mouth why not keep the FO accountable for their actions

my god... now Dray too?

Kelly Oubre and Draymond Green are questionable for tomorrow's game in Houston. Draymond was "elbowed in the shoulder" last night vs Wolves, per Kerr, and didn't practice today. Eric Paschall is doubtful, but nearing a return.

What happened to Fitz? Must have been Eric Apricot’s blinding Zen light.

As disappointing as it is to lose to the lowly T-Wolves, at least this one was a game.

The hot shooting from Hernangomez and Rubio was a fluke; yeah, the Warriors were daring them to shoot, but they did enough to contest that the shots weren't just warmup quality. The rebounding, and to some extent the defense at the point of attack, were the problems. And the execution down the stretch on offense—plus some debatable foul calls like the non-continuation on Curry's bucket—doomed us. (I don't think the refs were unfair this game, as they let a lot of contact go both ways, but that one call really set us back 3 points at a crucial moment.)

Not the greatest game for JTA, or Poole. Bazemore was a welcome return. And you have to wonder if DLee—a noted quality rebounder—might've made a difference. And yeah, the fact that the team was playing 8 guys yet the game was too close to sneak Smiley or Mannion in there doesn't speak well of where our roster is right now. Mannion's a second round rookie with relatively little experience so that's forgivable, but Smiley's in year 2 now and he still hasn't shown us any reason he shouldn't be on the Santa Cruz roster instead.

Contrast to GPII, who was on 10-day contracts with nothing guaranteed, and yet he found ways to contribute on both ends and be a real force in some of his minutes... yet, the team didn't even want to shell out the cash to make him available for the last 10 games of the season? Don't we technically need to sign another guy soon to have the minimum roster size again, so they're purely trying to squeeze that grace period to save on the difference? It would've made sense if the team had an alternative in mind, someone who could contribute in some other way, but nah.

On the plus side: no new injuries, higher chance of the T-Wolves pick conveying, and maybe even keeping our own pick. And, we should be able to look forward to some even easier opponents in the last few games.

I'm starting to think the most likely scenario for this team is they make the play-in but not the playoffs. It won't feel great to end by getting smashed by SAS, MEM, or DAL, but as long as we end up ahead of SAC and NOP I won't feel too ashamed.

Love the historical era breakdown of how this team has not been able to rebound for as long as Daniel has been self aware.

It seems crazy to me that even with only 8 people available and getting killed on the boards we can't play our young project big smiley, that's insane. Our team already has a compressed schedule while being undermanned and their being forced to play small.

It would be nice for someone to be held accountable for not adding an extra big to this squad after Wiseman went down, you telling me we can't find a rebounder anywhere? Like there's not one single big man available for a ten day contract in the whole world? For the whole season?

"Mulder’s man = boxed out. JTA’s man = stealing an offensive rebound from Toscano-Anderson’s finger tips." Can't see the whole play here of course but it also looks like Poole is standing there with his thumb up his ass, not crashing the glass. Where is Larry Smith when we need him? I mean, he's 63 now but he knew how to block out and rebound.
