Okongwu but it’s close. Reminds me of Draymond. I’ve grown to love Vassell too - fits so well with warriors. But for defensive potential, Okongwu has more upside, particularly as a shot blocker and rim protector.

I'd go with Vassel here.

I just don’t see Okongwu adding much ,Don’t We already have an undersized athletic Center in Marquises, Okongwu dosnt stretch the floor so I just don’t see what he brings that don’t overlap with Marquises I much rather roll the dice on finding a vet center To bring in and have Marquises to back up Then depending on a undersized rookie to help make a deep playoff run . The market just allows centers to be found more easily at a bargain especially if they think Warriors are still contenders. But we are desperate need of upgrading our perimeter defense and Vassell is special on that end and his shot is NBA Ready shots good to great at all three levels of the floor and when he’s not shooting he’s running ,was top 6th percentile in transition offense mostly due to the havoc he crates on the defensive side and we all know warriors are at there best when there defense leads to offense. Another reason I love Vassell is he is tailored fitted to be a warrior ,playing for Leonard Hamilton in Florida ran the same pass heavy fast pace as the warriors on offense and switch heavy defensive, Vassell guarded 1-5 in college will be able to guard 1-4 in the NBA once he gains some weight which he’s 19 I have no doubt he will be able to. Leonard Hamilton is building a reputation for developing Long athletic defensive studs just look at Jonathan Isaac who is receiving Amazing praise for his defensive white DPOY in his future, even his team Patrick Williams who will also be a mid first rounder this year . I know all warriors fans are going to be kicking them self when Spurs move up to draft this kid

I can only aspire to care about draft prospects (psssst...I don't really care, I just wanna see my team play--when it's totally safe to do so and only then).

OT: Did anyone catch W. Kamau Bell on Colbert last night? He was rocking a Bakesale Betty hoodie. Home of my favorite 1) chicken sandwich; 2) coleslaw, and 3) strawberry shortcake. Wish I could get some now. 🤤

No one can wear Barry's number and finish that poorly. I choose Okongwu.

(There always has to be someone with a really bad take. This is it.)

Also centers we can get on the cheap FA , below average 3-D guys get 10 mil thrown at them

Vassell for me. I think the elite 3 and D wing with passing skill and upside beyond that is the more valuable profile. I think his year 1 and year 2 contributions are going to be a little more important. I think he comes in as the best wing defender on the team, spaces the floor, and then has space to develop his off the dribble game.

Okongwu is also a great prospect and fit. I really like the idea of a B+ Bam Adebayo on D and a B+ Amare on O. Obviously that would be a monster player. But if he doesn't quite get there, and is just a really good effective 2 way C.

Two very different prospects, both great fits. Happy with both, but Vassell is my pick.

Vassell my choice. Okongwu probably the better player, but he'd have to displace Looney, Green, Chriss, Paschall for playing time. Vassell already seems an upgrade on Poole.

Oh man, the Anthony Davis comp threw me. Suuuper close decision mostly because we're so much thinner at the 3 than the 5. Both guys are hard working, high energy, switchable, team defenders. Both guys are unselfish, a little undersized but long with offensive potential... I really want to pick Vassell, but it just seems like Okongwu has a higher floor, a higher ceiling, and more likelihood of fulfilling his potential. Gotta go Okongwu.

Okongwu, never enuf bigs, especially with questions re Looney and his ongoing health issues

This is tough. Can Wiggins play the 4? Otherwise, I think Vassell will bring lower value. However, Okongwu won't help spread the floor, especially with Green. We already have a decent rim runner in Chriss and a budding star in Paschall. There's also a good chance that we can pick up a decent veteran power forward in free agency. So I'm going to have to go with my gut and say Vassell.
