Is this what it will be like at the end of the Universe? We are at the end of the thread. The lights of distant posts fade to darkness, one after another. Hot takes no longer warm the Warrior's soul as the chill of off days sets in. Yet in the cold of Omicron's shadow, we still hope, and pray, that a new Universe lies poised to explode in a rain of 3s and back door cuts. And a new thread will emerge from nothingness, ushering in new hope for inert compostable material to assemble into sentient beings who can once again rain down ridiculous mind numbing takes like contested Curry 3s. Life and Death on a Thread. The circle of Warrior's Life.

Well, I had some tasty crow and humble pie for Christmas with my "Warriors are gonna phone it in" take. Did not see that coming. The follow up to the dubs putting out that much effort in a short-handed game is that Curry & Green can't play like that all year. Not worried about Curry 'cuz I always felt he'll get plenty of rest days once Klay is back. (Poole & Klay start any game, like our chances against almost anyone) But Dray? It was always going to be harder to spell him. What do you say? He's got himself a 10 day Winter Vaca? Well, that's one way to do it. But Jokic twice and Golbert coming up? NO Dray or Wiseman? Well, I expect the Warriors to "phone it in". Hopefully, the same way they phoned it in on Christmas! ;-)

I'm not watching the game, but from the looks of it, the Clippers are shooting very well tonight. Zubac is 7/8 FGs, Bledsoe is 8/12, Boston Jr. is 6/14, and Ibaka and Coffey are 4/6 FGs each.

As for the Nuggets, Barton is 5/15, Jokic is 7/20, Morris is 5/12, and Rivers is 3/7. Nuggets overall are shooting 40%, while the Clippers overall are shooting 52%.

If we can go 2-4 or 3-3 in the next 6 games sans Draymond with the schedule as it is, that would be great.

Big man situation: not worried (obvious injury caveat as with any other position... knock on wood, cross my fingers).

Would it be nice to have a long 7ft deterrent around the paint? Yes but it's not really killing us as much as it might seem.

We are allowing the fewest shot attempts in the restricted area. We do, however, allow a lot of shots in the paint (4th most attempts in the 3-10ft zone) but opponents are shooting 41.1% from that area so I will take that all day.

GP2 and JK in the playoffs. GP2 for sure will be in the rotation. It's hard to see him not playing if he continues his current production. JK, if he continues his current trajectory, wouldn't be a surprise either. But he's 19 so anything is a bonus to me.

----

I wouldn't write off the Suns but the Dubs are clearly in S-tier, while healthy Suns, Jazz, Nets, and Bucks would be A-tier to me. Again, not saying anything is guaranteed, but nonchalant TO-prone GSW is the only team that scares me.

If no or minor symptoms, player can be back to playing in 10 days else it is 2 or 3 days additionally. Anyone have inside information on our players' symptoms?

Days our guys entered H&SP:

From NBC sports.com:

-------------------------------------

What happens if a player tests positive for COVID-19?

Once a player has a positive test for COVID-19, 10 days must pass since the first positive and at least 24 hours must have passed since a fever broke. The player must return at least two negative PCR test results from samples collected at least 24 hours apart

Does a player have to enter isolation after a positive test?

The NBA’s protocol requires coaches, players and staff to isolate if they have been in contact with individuals that have tested positive.

What happens once a player is cleared to return?

Once a player is cleared from isolation, a cardiac screening is required for a player to return to activity. The player must rest and cannot exercise for at least 10 days from the first onset of symptoms.

There is an observation process for players to return to game play.

If a player shows severe symptoms, they must be observed for a minimum of three days before being cleared to return to competition by the team’s consulting cardiologist.

If a player shows moderate symptoms, they must be observed for a minimum of two days before being cleared to return to competition by the team’s consulting cardiologist, and if they show little to no symptoms, a player can return to competition once they are cleared from isolation by a team and league doctor.

On close contact exposure to someone who tests positive:

If a vaccinated player is a close contact they will not have to quarantine but are subject to daily rapid testing for seven days. They can still access team facilities, participate in team functions and interact with other players as long as they exhibit no symptoms, test negative and follow all the team's safety measures
