So if we end up with Wiseman it really puts pressure on the FO to fill a lot of wing depth from free agency. I wonder if that's what Bob Myers was doing in Orlando. Someone like GR3 would help, but we are also going to need a mid level guy (assuming Warriors use TPE).
Another factor is our development pipeline. I don't know that Smiley factors in as a center which opens up a Smiley/Wiseman bench behind Chriss and Looney. Could be a bit too much off a logjam but the price is right.
So I can see a lot of reasons to draft a wing player here. Now maybe Wiseman is just the clearly best player available. If he can develop, a dominant big man in 3 or 4 years would time nicely with Steph and Klay turning into reasonably priced shooters in a vet role
If Wiseman really is the best player available, and the Warriors really prefer a wing player, they can draft Wiseman and trade him for a wing on a rookie contract with along with future draft picks going back and forth to make everybody happy.
Do any of us have any idea what Smiley is? He has some raw skills, but as a center could totally end up the bball equivalent of Brandon Belt- a talented player who can't really hang with the big boys at his position.

If the FO is insistent on a big man, I'm hoping they go the Okongwu route instead.
