So I was the one to request some musical variety last week and since Duby seems to be open to a crowdsourcing type of thing, I'd like to kick off the contributions with one of my favorite artists and an Oakland native in tUnE-yArDs. This one may be familiar to anyone who was plugged into the bay area music scene 7 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbiFcPhccu8
This game aside, I have an issue on my mind. Now, let's first stipulate: I love Klay. I'm *still* all earl about some of his great games, replay them in my mind or in actuality. Can't wait for him to come back, hope he's his old self.
BUT I think the narrative certainly among the chattering classes is that the Dubs are "Waiting for Klay to come back, and then they'll truly be a contender." Hold up a sec. You're telling me that the best team in the league, with the best defense and an absolutely incendiary offensive player plus a deep bench, isn't a contender without Klay? I'm over it. I thought the same thing in the summer -- we gotta just treat water until Klay comes back. Now? Of COURSE I want him back, of COURSE I want him to be great. But I also think the team as it is is better than the other teams as they are. Do you?
In a couple games, we have a pretty hard stretch - 76ers, Blazers, @Clippers, @Suns, Suns. Clippers is the one I'm most interested in. See if Steph struggles again against their defense.
As I said at the start, I am always satisfied with a .500 road trip. Too much stuff happens to take road dominance for granted… a home team gets hot, or Harden does a flying karate kick into your pelvis, or Kerr rests a third of the team…
Don’t overthink it. The game is Detroit AKA Motown. Pop on the game, pour a cocktail, turn the sound off, turn on Stevie or Marvin (or Smokey or Gladys or the Supremes or the Temptations….)
This one was new to me: "Stephen Curry is the first player in the last 25 seasons to double up an opposing team in points and assists in a 4th quarter - Elias"
Surprised Looney isn't resting with all the other old guys
Its time for the bench players to regain their rhythm + Kuminga to have his breakout game!!
NBA TV. Right now 4Q of last nights game. With Cavs announcers. Imma watch
ok, for those of you lucky enough to be sitting around at 4pm watching the Warriors, here's the game thread: https://dubnationhq.com/p/game-thread-gary-payton-starter?justPublished=true

I like this Korean song’s English part for Warriors.

Another 'quirky' Steph record set last night.

Can’t lose. Great Friday
Poole &/or Bjelica need to have 10+ assists today.
Song rec: Got the Time by Joe Jackson
Let’s see some team ball tonight!
I think tonight we see Poole's best game of the season. Looking forward to it!

No Steph, Dray, Dre, Otto (or Klay or James, obv).
So:
Payton-Chiozza
Poole-Lee
Wiggins-Moody
JTA-Kuminga
Looney-BJelly
I still … kinda like that team?
Spread down to -1.5
