During the game and following few hours, I am moody and up and down.
But still I am not into doom and gloom. We won last year. That carries me through. Steph acrobatic magic shots are still so fun to watch. Dray's defensive plays makes us think - how the hell...? When Klay is on automatic, oh boy. JK dunking and acrobatic layups. PBJ pure 3s. I take that over 15-57 season any day.
During the game when I am despondent, I get a bit shaky in my support for Wiggs - more as to lack of information on when is he coming back, if at all but then sanity prevails. And I marvel at how supportive Warriors organization has been. Most of the companies won't be.
We gonna be alright. West seeds 5 and 6 are wide open. Let's enjoy the ride - atleast ups.
PS: I reserve the right to be all kind of crazy during the game 😃
I’ll still on die on the hill of “they’ve been a completely mediocre .500 team, and the crazy home/road splits are mostly just noise caused largely by insane three point variance.” But with each passing game that hill gets a bit lonelier, haha.
Fwiw, Zach Lowe in his most recent podcast with Kendra Andrews staked out a spot on the same lonely hill. Also said he still can’t quit the Warriors as legit title contenders if/when they get healthy. (And he’s dispassionate about them.) But he does say they’re one of the most confounding/confusing/perplexing teams he’s ever seen.
I am really down on JP this season with how he has been playing lately. And I am JH = Jekyll and Hyde - I thought he was great last season. So my question to you all is this!
JP is tight with Wiggs, So do you all think that whats happening with Wiggs is effecting JP??
I just think he's tried to live up to his new contract, been stuck with a bunch of crap in his head, and shifting roles all over the place... oh, and he broke his shot. He shot 36.4% from 3 last year and even better in the playoffs. He's not a 32% 3pt shooter... he's just not. But this year that's the #, and it's effecting how defenses play against him.
Still shouldn't lose to a team without their all-star guard and their starting center by 21 points when you really needed that game. The Warriors are not a championship team this year, haven't really had any stretches of dominant play. I'm ready to tank the season, showcase and trade JP, and give our aging core a long summer to recover and steam watching other teams have fun in the playoffs.

Contro il Partizan di Smailagic, Nico ha giocato tre minuti. Se diventa un giocatore NBA, l'anno prossimo io sostituisco Ibrahimovic nell'attacco del Milan
With the only player that showed some heart, apart the Chef, out (the Lion KumINGa), I give up. I have no desire to watch the Golden State Horrors play. And I miss Quese, Bowman, Burks, Omari, JTA. They lost. A lot of games. They sucked. But they fought hard. They threw themselves into the stands. They cried and they smiled, they cheered and from time to time, they won one game, filling me with joy. One thing they weren't: apathetic.
I had a bad feeling when the first plays of the game ended up with a defensive breakdown for a dunk, and a completely lifeless offensive possession that ended with a Dray 3.
I also scoffed when they showed that the betting line had the Warriors FAVORED by 2.5 points ahead of the game...
Dray might have united and built the fire under Grizzlies' collective behind by going on his biting but hilarious Brooks rant. May be he should have waited till after the game.
Now let's hope somehow Nets beat Wolves and Raptors beat Lakers tomorrow. 🤞
So many boneheaded plays all around. That it was only a 20 point game says a LOT about how well they played when they weren’t throwing the ball out of bounds or forgetting to guard anybody.
they better without Ja - that was what it was last regular season. And we are also better without Steph - if we decide to look at our regular season win-loss record without Steph this season, which is better than with him- statistics - the bane of the new world!
have to look into that - correlation - damn, it is the bane of statistics - I failed my stats finals but somehow ended up getting a C - and after 30 years, i am still not sure why???
The light the beam team is more enjoyable to watch these days. They're young and a bit reckless but it all works because they're playing together & for each other.
i think the best outcome is: Put steph, klay and dray on IL or on Klay's boat or whatever. Play Poole so he averages 30 ppg - then we can get excellent value when we trade him this summer. rebuild and be back with a vengeance next season
Mike Brown has got to be COTY IMO. He learned a lot from our franchise and I think he’s a much better leader now than when he was coaching the Lebron Cavs. Don’t think these guys will be the cakewalk that people seem to think they’ll be in the playoffs.
I still think trading Haliburton was a huge mistake but it turned out to be a win win for both teams. It also helped that Fox has been a huge surprise this year and really took the next step. What Brown has done with this group of guys has been nothing short of impressive. They should have been a 7th-8th seed at best.
I can't remember which game was first..but he jumped into it after that crazy three over Eric Gordon in Houston and he did it after hitting a three and putting the Dubs up 5, I think against Cleveland at Chase.

Mood is the opposite of Doom. 😊
Moses Moody?
Is an anagram for “Some Sodomy.”
(Not too much, just, like, some… 😂)
grizzlies won game 5 last year 134 to 95.
tonight 131 to 110 .
I had the same thought. This one game doesn't worry me. The home vs road record does
I’ll still on die on the hill of “they’ve been a completely mediocre .500 team, and the crazy home/road splits are mostly just noise caused largely by insane three point variance.” But with each passing game that hill gets a bit lonelier, haha.

I am sliding off that hill a bit. Need Wiggs and GP2 to push me back up.
Updated big board and mock at The Ringer: https://nbadraft.theringer.com/
I guess we have no shot at Jarace Walker, but Rayan Rupert might be in our range.
I've long made peace with it. Unless something weird happens on draft night.
I wasn't aware Rupert has such a crazy wingspan! Another Moody?
Dear DNHQ Fans,
One question to you all:
I am really down on JP this season with how he has been playing lately. And I am JH = Jekyll and Hyde - I thought he was great last season. So my question to you all is this!

Wiggins in his first five years of his career:
19.4 points/game, 43.96% FG, 32.72% threes
Poole this season:
20.7 points, 42.8% FG, 32.6% threes
Based on those stats alone, it feels like Poole this season feels like Minnesota version of Wiggins.
Yeah Dray sabotaged him early and again this week. But he’s earned plenty of the metaphorical pain on his own.
Yes the contract certainly weighs on him - but has anyone else on the DUBS talked or mentioned Wiggs outside of him?
We can look into analytics 24/7.
The only stat I know is that after All Star Break I have never seen GP2 and Wiggs suited to play.

what about before ASB?

Nice!! Yes I'm going this summer, how can I connect?

That one was tough... I don't think any loss this year has hurt my faith in this team this year as much as that one... damn
Call that loudmouth green and ask him what he was doing to help his team - and I dont mean on the court!
I had a bad feeling when the first plays of the game ended up with a defensive breakdown for a dunk, and a completely lifeless offensive possession that ended with a Dray 3.

Talking before the game and completely failing to back it up is the biggest danger warming yet
So many boneheaded plays all around. That it was only a 20 point game says a LOT about how well they played when they weren’t throwing the ball out of bounds or forgetting to guard anybody.
48 points in the first quarter without Ja
48
they better without Ja - that was what it was last regular season. And we are also better without Steph - if we decide to look at our regular season win-loss record without Steph this season, which is better than with him- statistics - the bane of the new world!
We are better without Steph??
Ok so I'm better too without 10 millions of dollars in my bag
stats - the bane of the modern world
Ok now I get It ;-)
What is the record if you break it down by home and away with and without Steph?
OK got it
12-3 at home W/O Steph - thats 80%
15-4 at home With Steph - thats ~79%
2-9 on road W/O steph = thats !18.2%
5-17 on road With Steph: thats 22.3%
So Steph on road is better - but at home, other dubs make up!
have to look into that - correlation - damn, it is the bane of statistics - I failed my stats finals but somehow ended up getting a C - and after 30 years, i am still not sure why???
Curious stats fact: everyone who confuses correlation with causation ends up dying.
what - so those who dont, dont die??
it doesn't say that ;-)
Grizzlies had 51 against the Clippers in the 3rd quarter in LA. Then they proceeded to shoot like like crap in the 4th quarter.
Kenny atkinson has killed this team with his analytics
The light the beam team is more enjoyable to watch these days. They're young and a bit reckless but it all works because they're playing together & for each other.
I hope this season ends as as soon as possible.
Too painful too watch these games.
I'm focused on Champions League of European Soccer right now. Much more relaxing
i think the best outcome is: Put steph, klay and dray on IL or on Klay's boat or whatever. Play Poole so he averages 30 ppg - then we can get excellent value when we trade him this summer. rebuild and be back with a vengeance next season
I think we need desperately Wiggins and Payton. We don't have them = we are done
we dont want them = so we cant trade the s*** out of poole and get someone who can defend
Mike Brown has got to be COTY IMO. He learned a lot from our franchise and I think he’s a much better leader now than when he was coaching the Lebron Cavs. Don’t think these guys will be the cakewalk that people seem to think they’ll be in the playoffs.
A lot of people said last year in this forum that Sacramento was over, trading Haliburton for Sabonis.
Almost everyone here
I still think trading Haliburton was a huge mistake but it turned out to be a win win for both teams. It also helped that Fox has been a huge surprise this year and really took the next step. What Brown has done with this group of guys has been nothing short of impressive. They should have been a 7th-8th seed at best.
I don't think it was a mistake because I didn't think Sabonis was a bad player and I didn't think Haliburton was the new Magic Johnson.
He's a much better head coach now than a decade ago. He wasn't a good head coach back when he replaced the Lakers' Phil Jackson.
the kings are good - after seeing a few of their games, a kings-dubs series will be over in 5
When was the last time we saw a 'night night' celebration from Steph? Opening night against the Lakers?
I can't remember which game was first..but he jumped into it after that crazy three over Eric Gordon in Houston and he did it after hitting a three and putting the Dubs up 5, I think against Cleveland at Chase.

Well - dillon brooks is now 1 up on the brooks-draymond world war era
