I missed this game...1st one this season....great win vs an upstart team that is playing out of its mind...the thing that I find disturbing is my discovering today NONE of our guys made the RISING STARS ROSTERS..a bit surprised....is it because of insufficient games/PT?...
If you look at the list, you’ll see that most of the guys on that list play on what might be called subpar teams, and those guys have a much greater opportunity to play and to be highlighted. You don’t see anyone on the Celtics, Nuggets, or the Warriors, or the Nets, or the Heat, or the 76ers.
Sweet win....yep, it is slowly happening...Splash with 66, this time, 64, last time....so great if we can somehow manage to keep it going...I tweeted this on 3 January....
''A matter of time before injuries heal and those away games and unfamiliar courts begin to produce familiar results/wins to complement @warriors @NBA-best, home record...''
As we quietly slipped into 5th place in the West, it appears the time may be NOW... Let's go WIN a couple of games...
That’s good old fashioned Warriors basketball. The first half was great. Push the pace win in the chaos.
Steph got the easy layup early when two guys stayed with Klay, and then Klay showed everyone why he’s scary after that.
Poole looked like a two way player.
The refs were on GS’s side/ not destroying the flow of the game to the massive detriment of the Warriors in the first half, and tried to even the game out before the end.
Wiggins looked super skinny but is starting to get some lateral movement back.
Just a quality team win that shows this team is truly starting to find itself. Kerr seems to have done it again.
Seeing Poole defend well is probably my biggest takeaway- everything else was just further confirmation of the team getting on track. Poole is still a mile-a-second on offense with the good and the bad, but you can absolutely see the potential for an actual good defender now. I know he’s in year four, and people are impatient, but dang. His trajectory feels pretty good.
Like most fans, I notice the mistakes that Poole makes. However, I notice a few other things, too.......
4th quarter scoring:
Poole is 2nd to Curry w/5 points.
4th quarter of wins, On The Road, Poole tied with Kuminga, 4.3points.
4th quarter of losses, On The Road, Poole & Klay shoot poorly, 3.2points.
On The Road Losses, Poole shoots better fg% than Klay.
On The Road Losses, Wiggins has worst +/-10.4.
On The Road Wins, Poole averages 25.9ppg. Klay has 2nd highest +/-.
We all remember Poole's shooting woes in his rookie year and his gleague rebuild. While he's not going to SC ever again, he does need to rebuild his 3 point shot. How does he do this is the coaches job. This is an area where he would benefit the team immensely throughout a game. Let's hope the staff understands this and works with him to accomplish this goal. He is our ticket to the future...............
To me, he plays rushed at all times. Even some of his open 3s he jacked up at maximum speed. Hopefully this off season he works on playing at a slower pace on average.
If he takes the next step, he's gonna be great. Just hope it's this season and not next year.
Poole is one of those high twitched players that needs movement to their game. Curry is another. Slowing him down is not the answer, imo. Recognition and good habits need to be instilled in him and I think players like Steph and Iggy are probably in his ear. Steph was not the Steph we love in his first few years. It's a process.
Andrew is back!!!! We won a road game where our opponent didn’t shoot like trash!
JK got really frustrated with Shai’s shenanigans. He’ll get another crack at the guy next week, hopefully having learned a bit of a lesson. It was so nice to see Shai to get called for that hook on Andrew…
oh my goodness, I could not stop cracking up at this. the bastard child of basketball, rugby and wrestling. looks like these dudes were having a ton of fun.
Now that GSW hit the 50 game milestone, things are heating up with only 32 regular season games left. Of those, 16 are away games. I think the Warriors feel a sense of urgency and the next 32 games will get intense. Looking forward to seeing this next stretch and watching Warriors get into WGBC mode.
If you live in the Bay Area look for it in your supermarket. They have really good distribution these days and whenever the Blackberry shows up I snag a carton. No bad flavors though.
I checked on their website. They have a tool for finding the nearest dealers, and it's Safeway Community Markets in Berkeley. Not someplace I go every week but I do get there every month or two. I'll make a note of it. I like the idea of DNHQ-approved ice cream to celebrate Dubs win.
How about a promotion with the Warriors for some special flavors, maybe for a limited time unless they get super popular? Wiggins Maple ice cream, for instance. DDVanilla or DiVincenzo Spumoni. Lamb's Mint (because y'know mint with lamb). Kuminga's Mango (popular fruit in the Congo). The Marianne's folks and Dubs marketing folks could figure out the specifics of what might sell.
The dubs are my team but I'm also a big 9ers fan and this weekend was ROUGH. this game was exactly what I need to shed the nfl and fully commit to the blue and gold until June. Let the stacking continue
Thanks for the update. If we are able to get them. it would be great to get clips of Kerr's post-game interviews. Speaking of Kerr, I just watched a game of MJ's Bulls VS Cavs 69=point game. A young Steve Kerr was at 51 percent 3pters at that point of the season for the Cavs.....
Kind of surprising JMG was a DNP in this game. I guess they thought he couldn't keep up with OKC's players? Or just played small so much of the game another big wasn't needed?
I didn't even think of it until after I'd logged off.

Realize this is a pretty obvious take

Dubs 2 games over .500 for the third time this season; they've yet to get to 3 games over. Hoping for a big win in Minny on Wednesday.
Bold prediction: A win tomorrow and .500 is in the rear view mirror for the remainder of the season.

That Shai is a bad mutha-
hush your mouth!
Shai good, but #StephBetter
I'm just going to leave this here and walk away slowly:

I already lived through the Rockets vs Knicks Finals, thanks...
Great stuff....LMAO...thanks

Second only to E1P
A good laugh, 80s bball ! : )
Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn would be proud!

Victory? Hell yes. Celebration! (Marianne’s) Northern Oregon Blackberry and Rocky Road ice cream. Shoutout all ye Santa Cruzians (hi Asher !).
Mmmm, Northern Oregon Blackberry sounds very good!
If you live in the Bay Area look for it in your supermarket. They have really good distribution these days and whenever the Blackberry shows up I snag a carton. No bad flavors though.

I know the Marianne's owners very well. In my friends circle. Let me know if you have any new flavor ideas I'll pass them on.
DNHQ approved: Golden Gate Blueberry and Caramel Swirl in a Vanilla Bean Base
Fuh yes!

I'll ...
Promote it on Draymond's podcast even! Draymond's Dark Chocolate. 😆
That is, I ...
Okay, I'll let myself out now.
Oh wow! That close to superstars? I’m jelly. I live in SF but sometimes I drive down with my kids just to make a pilgrimage to Marianne’s.
Flavor ideas … hmm what is blue and gold? Blueberry and honey?
Blueberry and yuzu? Maybe too tart...
Oh or maybe blueberry cheesecake with yuzu marmalade
That sounds pretty good actually.
I think blueberry would stain everything, wouldn't it?
Blueberry ice cream is common. Tillamook makes a good one.
Couldn't you make a swirl? Similar to a neopolitan?
DNHQ-approved….Golden Gate Blueberry and Caramel Swirl in a Vanilla Bean Base.

Steve Kerr credits the Warriors' fast offensive start to tonight's win. It forced Oklahoma City to "swim upstream" for the rest of the game.
He also thought this was Andrew Wiggins' best game since his 15-game absence.

We can beat Minni. And Denver will sleep walk against our young guys and we will win (like Cleveland game).
So 3-0 road trip. Calling it now!!
SoL, what is your prediction for next few games.
I predict that the Warriors will win in Minnesota and lose in Denver. I'm also 1-3 in my predictions for the past four games so far.
Kind of surprising JMG was a DNP in this game. I guess they thought he couldn't keep up with OKC's players? Or just played small so much of the game another big wasn't needed?
I didn't even think of it until after I'd logged off.
Puzzling.
Wiggins was back. Somebody’s minutes had to shrink. Good choice, Kerr.
This makes the most sense ... Wiggs was back and playing well.
Thought I saw him in street clothes.?
The game was moving at a very fast pace. JMG would've been left in the dust.
I imagine this is the reason, but he's really not that slow. It may be that his conditioning isn't back after the injury, though.
Warriors will be playing against the Thunder next week on 2/6 at home. Then they'll play against the Thunder on the road on 3/7 and at home on 4/4.
