Think you're really doing Damion Lee a disservice with that grade. Of our roleplayer wings, I think he's been the best one - you give a guy like Glenn Robinson an A but Lee only a C? Lee creates more offense than him - both for himself and for teammates, takes harder shots due to our lack of talent (even with the lack of talent GRIII still only really looked to take higher quality role-player type shots), plays better D, is a positive factor on the boards...I don't know how sustainable Lee's play is going forward, but so far I think it's been pretty good and you're really overlooking his play. I really like what he's shown so far.
I'm so relieved we've moved on from WCS. Not only do we get the Masked Marquese tearing it up now, but I don't have to hold my breath to see which Willie Cauley-Stein we get each night.
Don't forget he was one of the catalysts behind the biggest win streak of the season. Good WCS is a phenomenal defender and a solid rebounder.
Bad WCS can't make a layup to save his life, and he'll shave years off your life with how penchant for ill-fated turnaround jumpers.
And just as Sacramento warned us, you can't count on getting just one or the other.
I'm wondering if given Looney's health issues and Chriss and Smailagic's bulk problems, if the Warriors might try to induce Bogut back for the vet minimum next year. He would turn 36 during the season which isn't that old given that he wouldn't be expected to play heavy minutes, he knows the system, and he can still set picks, block shots and rebound. Maybe he is up for one more run at an NBA championship. Dwight Howard isn't that much younger and is doing a capable job filling in that role for the Lakers.
My one gripe with Ky is that he's just not a good enough scorer to help in the motion offense. Last time I checked anyway his 3pt% was fairly poor (~31-32% and 40% for FGA in general, and a lot due, I think, to poor shot selection) for a player of his stature.
I'm not saying he's gotta be Steve Nash-levels of efficient and smart in his shot selection, but I've seen some games where every shot he chucked up I was biting back a roar of frustration.
