Warriors turnovers … suck. But that’s part of who they are. People are so fixated on this. Every team has problems. Every team has compensation techniques. For the Dubs motion and cutting and passing is just a riskier way to play. And we love it. Or at least I do! And so I accept that the turnovers are part of it. Some are dumber than others, for sure. And I fervently wish for the Dubs to play flawless ball and win every game by 30 points. 30 for 30! But who they are, flaws and all, is pretty damn awesome.

About last night’s Heat Celtics game: it was oddly engaging for a blowout which became an amazing come back by the team I was rooting against. But both teams looked a mess. Of course Boston’s crazy number of turnovers stands out. But Miami was also sloppy, stumbling, beat up, unable to hold a lead. By the 4th both teams were in chaos scramble mode. Neither looked especially convincing or like champions.

It’s a great reminder that teams have ups and downs. Miami looked awesome in game 1. Boston looked unbeatable in game 2. Game three? Messssssy. And both teams have injury problems, potentially huge ones.

Right now the Dubs are looking like the most solid squad.

I'm really hoping we don't start the game in Dallas being down by double digits and playing catch-up. The Warriors really need to cleanup their TOs as they are killing us at times. We know that no lead is safe but why make it harder than it needs to be. It's a mental thing and Dray, in particular, never learns. Bringing him off the bench could cut down on the TOs and allow our scorers to do some damage as Dray is also a reluctant scorer. Looney has earned his starting job and I really mean 'earned'. He has proven himself the last two seasons as being a necessary part of our core. It coincided with him being healthy for two full seasons. I believe we have enough playmaking players to let Dray come off the bench. Give OPJ the start. He plays a mostly flawless game and he's been great in the playoffs, so far.

6 more wins and we champions again. Curry finally gets his FMVP. Boston and Miami are falling apart with injuries. Let them beat each other up. Tatum and butler both getting banged up

40 points is nice but Jaylen Brown's assist to turnover ratio was 1 to 7. Yikes.

So the Mavs lost one game at home this postseason. Have the Dubs lost any games at home this postseason?

Boy that game felt like Final Destination.

Miami had a 25 point lead with <2 minutes left in the first half but Boston is now outworking them.

I'm thinking "Miami really needs to get to halftime up 20", but they collapse and the lead is cut to 15.

A loss feels inevitable, Boston's going to go on a 10-0 run and there will be no answer.

And then Butler is gone. The series is slipping away.

Boston continues to outwork Miami but even though the quarter must have felt like an eternity for the Heat, miraculously Boston can't reduce the lead.

Entering the fourth I'm thinking "they need to keep it at double digits until the 6 minute mark but I don't think they can."

Sure enough Boston cuts it to 9 with 7:30 left but Miami battles it back up over 10.

Finally the inevitable run happens and Miami collapses.

Brown's 3 drops it to 1 with 2:40 left and the series is over.

And then somehow Max Strus intervenes in Death's Plan.

His 3 goes in as the shot clock expires and the Celtics disintegrate like minions of Thanos.

Musing about next season a little bit. I am not entertaining crazy trades, just thinking it through.

Steph, Klay, Draymond, Wiggs, JP3, Wiseman, Moody, Kuminga are all under contract next year. That’s 8.

I would like the FO to sign Looney, OPJ, GP2. That makes 11.

We have three draft picks!!! They are pretty low, so let’s say #28 makes the team and the other two get two ways or get stashed in Australia, or maybe we bundle all three and move up a couple slots. So that makes 12.

Of the remaining players on this years roster, there are D.Lee, JTA, Iggy, Bjelica. Iggy needs to retire or take a job off court. Of the other three D.Lee is my favorite though he seems to be playing worse as of late. JTA and Bjelica I am ambivalent about. Maybe now that people see we might have a few rings left, could we pick up any savvy vets that want to roll with the dubs? Or maybe Justinian Jessup has perfected his left handed circa 2018 Klay Thompson impression? Not sure who we could get, but it really feels like having a legit tryout for all three of those remaining spots is the right thing to do. Anybody got their eyes on. Future hall of famer that wants to play for the vet minimum?

Wiggins questionable with ankle soreness. That would be a problem. Get Well Wiggs!

Max Strus seems to be turning into quite a good role player.

34 minutes, 16 pts, 6-12, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 blk.

In summer league, I thought he was decent but nothing special ... got that wrong (huge surprise).

That was a brutal game.

Brown's dribble is loose, if the Celtics and Warriors advance I hope the Warriors would have the option of putting GP2 on him

This is going really well. Miami should finish this game off tonight. Boston should come back strong next game. We’re getting closer and closer to the 7 game series we were all hoping for.
