Off topic, but Nuggets up 79-54 at the half against Jazz. Jokic has 33, and Nuggets are 15/17 on threes. Wow!

Kerr's a savage. Sorry Jordan I gave you meaningful minutes the game before you get sent to the G-League and although you played well you're still going cya

Poor McGruder. Don't even know if I spelled his name right. Klay didn't curse once compared to Draymond but what he said must have hurt a million times more. Dude is a killer on and off the court

Rod Mac must have crossed a line since Draymond incinerated him publicly . Always thought that stuff stayed on the court and in the locker rooms. Perhaps Rodney's status isnt worthy of that respect.

Starting Looney instead of Wiseman seems to have had a positive impact. I’m thinking now it might be good to switch back the Oubre / Wiggins rotation (Wiggins comes off the floor first for Bazemore, but gets a lot of 2nd Q minutes). Part of this is watching Steph and Oubre work a little better together (I’ve seen a couple of assists both ways), part of is is feeling that bench isn’t quite as good anymore without Wiggins, and part is looking at NBA lineup stats and seeing which lineups have good +/-. Any thoughts here?

Added a preview of today's Explain One Play in which I mainly complain about how Steph f's around while smashing the Pistons.

Scheduling note from ESPN.com’s recap:

“The NBA announced Golden State's postponed road game against the Suns from Jan. 15 has been rescheduled for March 4 at Phoenix.”

You know when you watch a movie and there's one kid who is a total bully to the main character? And then the movie cuts to years later, and this bully has become a sad character, overtaken many times by the protagonist, to the point where you kinda feel bad for them?

That's how I feel about Blake Griffin. :-/

Q2 2:40 Wiggins so good in the motion offense he thieves Drays dime.

A good game to get the guys working together against a team struggling to figure out their defense (excluding Isiah Stewart here, he is a beast and would look awesome in an Oakland Forever jersey).

Kelly showing increased value in the 'run it back with Klay' campaign #RIBWiK.

Nice to see the shots falling.

Oubre had an actual assist. Feels like Steph and Draymond see Blake and just want to demoralize him.

I’m not sure what to make of Looney playing so many minutes in this game and so few last game. Did Wiseman’s wrist start hurting after the fall?

Watched the first half off DVR. Yeah dubs took care of business, but man Pistons are terrible. Their team D was atrocious, just looking at each other instead of closing out on 3s. So good for the dubs record, and also for their confidence, but these kind of wins don’t pressure test any improvements they are trying to make. Next stretch should be more telling, lots of fair to good teams to play. Let’s see if they can keep up the flow against better defense. Paschall, Lee, Wiseman and Oubre gonna need to play near the top of their capabilities night in night out - we cannot win consistently when they drop a night in the dumpster. But hey, 11W9L is better than 10W10L

I have to say I don't envy the Pistons on this road trip - the Warriors were their "easy" game. Now they get Nuggets, Jazz, Suns, and Lakers. At least they missed the Clippers.

Notes from the game:

1. Steph and Dray were Steph and Dray.

2. Oubre shooting pretty well tonight despite sub-optimal shot selection. Don't like it long-term and hope he cuts down on those.

3. Wiggins did his thing. Just needs to cut down on those long 2s.

4. Wiseman was okay. Rebounding was nice, but getting done by Stewart a couple of times wasn't.

5. On the Pistons side of things, I like what they're doing compared to the Wolves. Stewart, Bey and Hayes are nice pieces while Grant will fetch nice assets if/when they trade him.

Looks like the Warriors won't be having any 1st rounder in this deep draft. The way they're playing, they'll be top 10 team in the league. The Wolves on the other hand are so bad they'll probably end up having top 2 pick so they won't get that one either. The positive is Wiseman is playing real well and is a freak. The Greek Freak in his rookie year only average 6.8 points/game.

Mr Eric Apricot's prediction:

14-6 (He didn't give a prediction for the Pacers and Raptors, so I gave it an L)

Actual record:

11-9

Not bad!
