Will the Dubs stay disciplined enough to keep taking it into the paint in this series? That's one of my worries, that we just get 3 happy. I want Wiggs, JK & Poole to soften up the middle, like a heavyweight fighter pounding his opponent's kidney like a flank steak. Slowing the game down is more to our advantage. I don't mind going deeper down the bench with the idea that in shorter shifts, a player can really sell out on defense each shift. If GP2 was sick enough to miss a game, he might not be ready for big minutes, so I am making sure he is fresh for the 4th if we need a Fox stopper. This should leave a lane open for Kuminga to hold onto his precarious 12 min a game. Sac is faster around the edges, but we are the more physical team and we can't cash that in by hoisting a record amount of 3s and wearing out chasing the Kings in transition on misses.

I want Steve Kerr pointing at the paint screaming "The Rim!" like Herve Villechaize as Tattoo screaming "The Plane" in Fantasy Island all game long.

Just found out I'm going to game 4. I promise you all no matter how it ends I will have no voice on monday.

No voice, no problem, as long as you can type your observations about the game on Monday.

A talented high draft pick, flanked by 2 or 3 skilled one-way players, no depth and a seemingly unending string of playoff exits until the lottery pick is traded to an almost immediate NBA champion? This is the way.

How tf do the Cavs only score 79 points while playing two short guards? Wtf, get them a new coach asap

Expand full comment

He only seems good for defense and not good for offense.

Expand full comment

That and they have the same spacing issues that we have with Looney and Dray but without the equivalent 3p threat

Expand full comment

Lol if looney n dray played for the Cavs they would have scored 59 points tonight Allen is a much better finisher then looney or dray n mobley at least has a midrange

Yeah, that can all be true and they still had bad spacing issues lol. I didn't watch most of the game, but in the 4th the Knicks were bottling up everything that approached the 3p line

Will the Knicks be able to pull off an upset win over the Cavs in the series? Cavs offense hasn't really impressed me so far.

If anyone’s watching the Minny-Denver game, there’s 4 guys in the second row across from the team benches that have on Kevon Looney Warriors jerseys! Is there some kind of story behind that?

"Seven friends originally from Minnesota and North Dakota showed up at Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland for the 150th installment of The Open Championship, indirectly courtesy of Looney and his fellow Warriors, for the trip of a lifetime. They were adorned in bright-yellow No. 5 Looney Warriors jerseys."

Brunson is pretty underrated. He's a damn solid PG that's capable of playing winning basketball

Expand full comment

Is he really underrated now? I feel like that was last year. This year most people seem to think he’s an all-star level player (as I do). Is that underrated?

Nobody who plays in NY or LA is ever underrated, imo…

I think the Lakers underrated how bad Westbrook was

Turned on both the Nug/Wolves and Knicks/Cavs. First had Ant blocking a shot, grabbing the rebound and running it back for a euro layup. The latter had Caris Lavert ignoring Donovan to launch a low effort 3 and then get blown by multiple times by Brunson lol

A death line up, you say…

1. Not supposed to have a 7 footer

2. Not supposed to have another 7 footer, that can’t shoot

3. Not if you’re going to score less than 80

Oooohhhh… you mean the “we choose death” line up, got it…

So... Honest question. How confident are all of you that the dubs win the series.

I'm still around 75%. Win on Sunday and I'll be 100%

Expand full comment

100% chance we win because we have Steph curry

Expand full comment

Sorry to be a pessimist, but I give the Dubs a 60% chance of winning the series. Dubs have to win 3 of 4 while Kings only have to win 2 of 4, and can do that just by winning at home. Dubs have more talent and experience, but a couple of random endings (just like Game 1) could tip the series for the Kings. And there's always the chance of a key injury. What chances would the Dubs have if Steph got hurt on Sunday and missed the rest of the series? Loon? Wiggs? Dray?

Expand full comment
Apr 22, 2023·edited Apr 22, 2023

I don’t think 60% is that pessimistic really. Don’t really think the injury thing is relevant. What if Sabonis or Fox get hurt?

Expand full comment

Sabonis is indestructible - he scraped himself off the floor after two punctured lungs, a compound elbow fracture, concussion, deviated septum, and a case of Ebola during Game 2.

Expand full comment

😂

Expand full comment

Joking aside, 60% is assuming the Warriors are different than most other basketball teams. Very reasonable, but yeah it's not pessimistic lol

Apr 22, 2023·edited Apr 22, 2023

I'm at 100%, which is up from the 100% I was at after the Draymond news but before G3. Weirdly, I was pessimistic coming into the first two games, only at 100% so this is an improvement!

I am confident the team can win. Kerr still makes me nervous. If things point South, he tends to dig himself a deeper hole while draining the life out of his vets. When the young guys are in there and they make plays, it turbo charges the old dudes. Klay looked like he was going to shoot, dished it to Moody in the corner who attacked the rim and got an And1. Klay's reaction was a double fist pump Hell Yeah. There was a lot of intensity and emotion in his reaction. And I don't think the Dubs go too far without that infusion of energy from the younger cast of characters. We are a far better group of players than Sac. But we have to be the better team and, let's face it, we spent a lot of the regular season not being that good team. That's what I am keeping an eye on.

Expand full comment

Kerr is always at his best the longer the series goes. We've been down 2-1, 3-2, 3-1 and won all those series minus that one against Toronto
