Will the Dubs stay disciplined enough to keep taking it into the paint in this series? That's one of my worries, that we just get 3 happy. I want Wiggs, JK & Poole to soften up the middle, like a heavyweight fighter pounding his opponent's kidney like a flank steak. Slowing the game down is more to our advantage. I don't mind going deeper down the bench with the idea that in shorter shifts, a player can really sell out on defense each shift. If GP2 was sick enough to miss a game, he might not be ready for big minutes, so I am making sure he is fresh for the 4th if we need a Fox stopper. This should leave a lane open for Kuminga to hold onto his precarious 12 min a game. Sac is faster around the edges, but we are the more physical team and we can't cash that in by hoisting a record amount of 3s and wearing out chasing the Kings in transition on misses.
I want Steve Kerr pointing at the paint screaming "The Rim!" like Herve Villechaize as Tattoo screaming "The Plane" in Fantasy Island all game long.
Just found out I'm going to game 4. I promise you all no matter how it ends I will have no voice on monday.
