I noticed this while watching last night...in the clip at like 11:32 in Q3, there's a graphic saying that the Dubs have been averaging 60.5 points in the second half. they ended up scoring 61, so although Wiggs ruined his 17-point average, the Dubs as a team kept it steady!
The psychological damage of watching the dunk dozens of times and then even being told it counts after all just demolished Dallas. I love it.
Also, I really liked that screen in the lane from Juan, but I was disappointed by several of his plays earlier—he had about two chances to dunk it where he kicked it out instead. And like, yeah, a wide open Moody or Wiggins is pretty good expected value, but the expected value of a dunk is still probably higher: both in terms of likelihood of points scored, and the intangible effects on morale. If OPJ is still out next game I hope Wiggins' play reminds OGJ of that. Or maybe he should have another look at his own poster signed by would-be WCF opponent and friend of the program Javale McGee earlier in the season?
The manner in which I have prioritized watching and and re-watching this dunk over cleaning my kitchen is truly unhealthy... so now I shall prioritize trying to find the clip of Wiggins' massive baseline rim attack at the end of the shot clock where he tried to end the lineage of Reggie Bullock. He was playing with tremendous aggressioniveness* all night and it was just a matter of time before he caught a body.
Maybe the Doncic "Ow! My eye!" could become part of the Warriors ever-expanding repertoire of bench celebrations...?
Luka is clearly and amazing player and generational talent BUT he also revealed a side of himself this series I don't love. Not only the instinctual mid-air BS flopping but in his postgame he was all excuses "I'm only 23!" . I didn't hear any of that from Ja. Kid still has some growing up to do.
I am really impressed with Luka on and off the court. I have not really heard him making excuses, but maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention. From what I have seen is an extremely talented young man that understands he has some ways to go to reach his full potential. I can respect that. Same with Ja, they are different personalities, but I have no less respect for either one.
I hate it too, but even our very own Unanimous might possibly have accentuated a push to the back just a bit in the Denver series (something I was glad to see after years of no foul calls). Unfortunately, developing your "Lebron" skills, and accentuating fouls with current NBA reffing is almost a performance prerequisite. I would like some penalites for the head snaps, though. They don't seem that hard to review, and particularly in situations where they are doing a flagrant foul review anyway, if you head snap without contact, they should send the "T" the other way.
"I don't think there was really a foul here, but Draymond yells "AND ONE!" for every layup... probably... for every time his kid is born in the hospital he yells "and one"
"How do you like them Bunnies?!" Wiggins new posterize taunt 😤

YES!! The last thing must happen. Make it so.
*yep
I remembered something late last night.
When the Wiggins trade went through, a guard that had been on Minnesota's team (Tyus Jones, maybe?) said something like (paraphrasing):
Wiggs is going to be lit. It's [ Golden State ] the perfect spot for him.
Boy was that right.
The coaching staff has had quite a series.
Employee of the month is apparently Andrew "Locked In" Wiggins' conditioning coach.
But regular season awards all go to Looney's Hip rehab crew.
#FireKerr?
They say “buy low” right?

>Kid still has some growing up to do.
Uummmmm, I think that was his point...
Yeah, flopping aside I see more humility from him than from Ja.
Flopping is part of the competition. An unfortunate reality, but a reality nonetheless.

"and it was all going so well..." LMAO
If we have "Klaytheism", can we also have "Apric-quotes"?
Draymond yelling "AND 1!" at the birth of his children is killing me from inside.
You have upped your game again sir.
These videos- hard as fudge! Love it.
"European...flop technology...because of all the soccer." A hysterical observation. Love it!
there's a few good ones in here
"Wiggins throwing his hands up angrily like someone didn't realize that the fries were part of the poutine"
Came here to write this, but you beat me to it. That one had me (and my keyboard) grateful I was not drinking something at the time.
If Eric learns one thing this year, this is key.
Explain One Poutine
lol
"I don't think there was really a foul here, but Draymond yells "AND ONE!" for every layup... probably... for every time his kid is born in the hospital he yells "and one"
Hehe- I’m just gonna regard that as a portion of a shout-out.
It’s the only way I can get corrections in
