I see a lot more after it's slowed down, that's for sure. I can sometimes figure out what play it's going to be and I can sometimes see the offball stuff happening
Yoo, I was watching Joe Lacobs recent interview with the Morning Roast and you could feel the passion burning within Lacob when he talked about the Warriors. The man is a genuine fan whose 110% into the Warriors, and while I'm a bit worried about his level of input in the basketball side of things, I think he's smart enough to allow Kerr/Myers to mainly run the ship!
I listened to that interview. He certainly has never seemed like the guy to shout down other people in the room to make sure his own voice was the loudest one heard, and that interview further reinforced the trust he has in his team. I don't blame fans being wary of too much owner involvement but Lacob is no Cuban as far as meddling in FA and hiring decisions.
They were also lobbing softballs, tho... The question about his sons being involved basically read as "Tell me why Kirk is so great and hardworking, and why is it so unfair that people think he just got the job cuz he's your son?"
Watching highlights from this season so far and it makes me so happy to see the bench alive again. We got the young guys in awe like "Is this NBA basketball at it's peak?" combined with the old dogs like "Damn, I've never seen this when I played on other teams".
I watched part of the Clippers - Miami game last night. Two teams that are supposed to be pretty good. and parts of it on both sides were damn near unwatchable at times. We have indeed been ruined by Kerr's "beautiful game."
It wasn't even that. More like 9 guys standing around while somebody goes into hero mode and forces a terrible shot. Specifically, Paul George & Reggie Jackson. Somebody needs to tell George he is not as good as he thinks he is, especially in late game situations. 2 guys wide open and he forces up a bad shot. Twice. And they still managed to win.
We were turned into the same thing playing the clippers switch everything defense, iso is pretty much your only option if the defense switches ever screen
Er, "pick and roll" is not iso and can work just fine on a switching defense. Among other things. (Also, switching every screen is easier said than done, and switching errors can be exploited).
Relying on screens to free up shooters definitely can take a hit if you're facing a really good switching defense.
I love how people are freaking out about what the Warriors have done this season and rationalizing.
Of course they won't win 91% of their remaining games, but they are taking care of the games they should, which bodes very well for their record going forward. Can't say the same for any of the other Western Conference contenders who've all already lost a few games they really should have won.
In pretty much any sport you want to get fat on the bad teams and at least hang with the good ones. People can carp about the soft schedule all they want but those wins still count and that's especially important in basketball now where you do not want to be in the playin where a couple of random endings can ruin your season.
Great stuff.
I'm curious how much of this you see when the action is live. Are you seeing all of this in real-time or only when it gets slowed down?

The Silicon Valley line was hilarious
Great E1P and though I've been missing the old thought bubbles, I'm enjoying the recent stream of Andre's worldly wisdom.
I just want to see "Looney Looney" in a thought bubble.

Anybody have a stream for the santa Cruz squad?
Nvm no moody or kuminga
https://gleague.nba.com often has the stream -- but yeah no MM or JK

Butler and Leonard weren't playing. And they both play good defense. Not surprised they made each other look unwatchable at times.

That's not even it, though. He is really good. But it's also really boring basketball. Even when it works.
All of that and more.
"But basketball is unnecessary"... I don't even know you.
Exactly. Basketball - specifically Warrior's basketball - is how I survive 6 months of the year.
Nice work as always, Eric. DLo looked lost out there. So glad for Wiggins and Kuminga in his place.
FYI, David Thorpe with a piece on GSW’s third quarter knockouts https://www.truehoop.com/p/anatomy-of-a-knockout

OMG, that is an amazing photo of Draymond in there... so many caption ideas.

And we can watch it?!
Oh, they're not in the box score. I guess next game.
Oh, I didn't even catch the text in the tweet. Yea that was weird...
