Related to the Love rumors/free agent situation in general: Has there been any reporting about how players are viewing the Dubs this season? We are told that free agents ring chaser types stopped considering us when Klay went down. He’s coming back this year, but probably not at the beginning of the season and there’s a fair amount of uncertainty about what level he will perform at when he does return.

With our mixed results last season the narrative could be: hey the Dubs are just a fringe playoff team who couldn’t even win the play-in tournament last season and Klay may not even come back and even if he does he won’t be 100% and all we have to add are rookies and Wiseman is terrible and so go to the Nets/Sixers/Bucks/Hawks/Suns/Jazz/Lakers/Clips/Nuggets if you want a chance …

OR it could be: man, they made it to the 8th seed with basically Curry, Green and 3 days of rain. Klay will be back and hopefully playing pretty well by the playoffs. They have discovered some good complimentary pieces in Poole and JTA. Wiseman will start to improve and should be a serviceable contributor by late in the season. They have 2 lotto picks they can add or trade with. With all that they will be better (win say 5 close ones they lost last year) and if you (my hypothetical ring chasing free agent considering signing) can add just that little bit extra that helps them win 5 more games then they’ll win 50 games next year (the extra win come from winning at least 1 out of the extra 10 games they have in a normal regular season). That probably puts them in the 3-6 seed range and once you get there …

Or it could be something else. I would love to ask some non Warrior players. Anyone heard anything about this? Thoughts?

Best line: "If we believe KD when he says he wouldn't have joined the Ws had the Finals gone their way, the league sealed its own fate for the next three seasons with the Draymond suspension."
