I feel like Larsson is the better player but Carlson could potentially unlock a lot of lineups for us. Both guys seem skilled, but I don't trust Carlson is ready to play C in the NBA yet. And Larsson looks like he's physically ready... so I go with #Larsson

Pritchard hitting that buzzer beater to the 3rd…. it’s their year man. He’s having his JP moment.

JP was way more impactful than Pritchard has been. Was a fun moment nonetheless.

I am rootin for the Celtics, to win and have a Trophy more than the Lakers, and I am happy if Luka, Jokic, Minnesota, Clippers and Lakers don't win. So happy

IMO Celtics are not on the Lakers level in the salary cap era

Not even an opinion, just a fact.

Yawn, MAVS played better, but you are not going to win too many away FINALS games shooting 47-23 (6/26)-66(16/24) with 15 TOs AND A DIFFERENTIAL OF -9 POINTS ON POINTS OFF TOs...Irving shot 38 percent; LUKA was the only one that looked like he belonged....Maybe they may steal one at Dallas....Yawn....

Jayson Tatum doesn't look like a playoff performer.

He shot poorly but 9 boards, 12 assists, and some nifty defense.

He is probably bored...

Also it's funny to me that people don't remember how poorly Kyrie started the 2016 series in the first two games. Been trying to point out for years that Curry had a higher TS% than him in that series.

Expand full comment

“Clutch Kyrie” was 1-4 from three in Game 7 IIRC. Alas, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish that counts.

Expand full comment

He's usually good for one good game a series.

Celtics 4th scoring option casually leads them in scoring in an NBA Finals game… Dallas has a monster mountain to climb man

Expand full comment

0-2 is not great, but they haven't even had a game in Dallas yet. If Dallas defends their home floor, they're back in it.

Expand full comment

Well, yeah, series doesn’t start until the road team wins a game and Dallas is more than capable of ripping a few off but Boston has shown they have a bigger margin for error than Dallas. I still think this series goes to 6 or maybe 7 since Boston is due for a couple of chokes/stinkers

Expand full comment

With that being said though I would not be surprised if Boston loses this series. I think they’re the stronger overall team and SHOULD win but that doesn’t mean anything

Expand full comment

I would be surprised if they lose the series at this point. I think you were right the first time: 6 maybe 7. I'd guess it goes 6.

Dallas winning 4 of the next 5 games would legit be a catastrophe for the Cs.

Expand full comment

If they made free throws they might win that game even as bad as they were.

Expand full comment

I mean yeah, you can say that about every game ever. 16/24 is pretty bad but it could be worse. Their margin for error is just too thin against this stacked ass Boston team unless Luka and Kyrie can go LBJ/Kyrie 2016 Game 5-7 Finals Mode

Agree, but when he was on the trade block last summer it seemed like nobody here wanted him (and neither, evidently, did the FO). The price was admittedly high, but he'd have been great for us, I think. Both these rosters are full of players the W's seem to have deemed insufficient to move the needle. I really hope Dunleavy turns the dial just one or two degrees in the direction of more aggressiveness this summer.

Would have loved him as a 3rd or 4th option like his current role on this Celtics team

He didn't even get high enough for a dunk, didn't need the block lol

Derrick White is a phenomenal defender.

I know it’s only the second game but I think Dallas is toast. Boston just has too many guys who can shoot.

not calling TO to take out a slow injured porzingis easily cut the lead from 12 to 8.

Boston will likely still win even if Porzingas is injured.

Looks like he reinjured the calf. Calves and hammies take forever.

Luka’s amazing, but 7 turnovers and 3-7 from the stripe is not so amazing.

There was another turnover that really hurt...

Is Luka hurt? There were some murmurings in the thread below, but I don't know anything (just really tuning into the series for the first time).

He’s been hobbled with a knee injury.

I wonder what the owner of Milwaukee thinks about the Jrue Holiday trade right about now.

Cursing under his breath and probably regretting their Lillard trade.

They took a swing. Sure, it hasn't turned out very well, but they were trying to keep Giannis happy too. If they didn't make the trade and fizzled in the playoffs, the talking heads would be talking about how they should have made a move and they'd be on the verge of losing the big guy...
