Let's see how Wiggins looks when the novelty of the situation wears off and the games feel less meaningful again. Although it's not clear when that will happen given the All-Star break and Curry's impending return.

Had to do a double take when Poole made two shots in a row. It’s been one of those seasons

He was aggressive tonight (as usual) but the shots were spot-on (not as usual, but we have seen it happen once or twice). It's games like tonight's that make you think, maybe, just maybe, this kid has a future in the NBA after all.

But so far it's only flashes of that. I liked some of his other, more pass-first games better. The shots he took tonight were kind of difficult and, in a lot of cases, I'd consider them ill-advised. There were some good looks in there too, like a catch-and-shoot 3 off an OReb. In any case, he made the shots, which is the most important part.

There aren't too many centers like AD (as well as the new, svelte D. Howard) to push our young post players around. These were the Lakers. Lesser teams had better watch out. Playing the hungry Dubs will be a trap for the rest of the season.

I want to see James, Davis, and Howard (assuming he returns) chasing Curry and Thompson out on the perimeter after a switch next year. And while I know that the Lakers primary objective on defense last night was to not have anybody get injured, their rim protection isn't so great either. They have a 1-2 year window where they are good enough to lose to the Bucks in the finals.

I am really excited by Wiggins length and quickness. I had not realized how much DLo’s pace slowed them down. I feel like Wigguodala will fit in personality wise and scheme wise.

That said, I saw him a time or two when his ams dropped and his body language implied less than full effort.

Overall, very excited about this first game.

Your optimism is noted. I hope it's also warranted. But...Wigguodala? Freddy, please, please don't give me ulcers. Just...please. :)

OK Eric - post-meteor extinction young mammals plus Wiggins - is your snark comment of the year and perhaps the decade. Going to be hard to top. Enjoyed as always. Will wait for your EOP in 10 games - ? compare/contrast Wiggins vs. the type of game played by Iggy and Barnes... Be good/we enjoy the new LGW.

I love Bowman. Win or lose that dude is a dog. Smiley looks like he has the basketball smarts to be a more mobile/aggressive jokic. All in all I like all of our young guys.

Man, Bowman's first quarter was amazing. He and Chriss just absolutely came out playing NBA ball and caught the Lakers sleeping. They definitely proved that other teams had better take them seriously or else.

Excellent quick hit!!! Thanks

I was at the game, expecting a blow out - but the showed heart and fight and kept it close at the end. Enjoyed the game immensely. 2 favorite moments: Smiley's fake, turn and dunk, and then I think it was Chriss who blocked LeBron at the end.

Lots of Laker fans in the building. Loudest cheer of the night, by far, came when "Congratulations Klay Thompson, 30 years today" came on the screen. I guess that's something that fans of both teams can cheer for...

Him being in and out of the lineup has probably taken him completely out of rhythm. He should be fine next year if everything heals up.

This is also probably the toughest defensive matchup for Looney. He can cover 3-5 (and the Warriors ask him to do all of that pretty much every game) but the Lakers 3-5 is one of (if not THE) toughest matchups for him

Looney looked a little out of breath this game. With that said, I thought that his foul calls were hard defensive assignments (3 were guarding AD/Lebron) and he got a lot of softer foul calls.

Kind of wish the gave Looney and kept Spellman... would have save 3 mil as well

ehh...... looney's been great for the last 2 games and just had one poor game now. he's also shown that he can be a franchise piece, who can excel while switching onto guards. he's coming into shape slowly, but he's still been giving quality minutes.

and, i know there are other confounding factors (he's playing from the bench, for one) but just take a look at looney's +/-. he had a pretty poor outing today, but he was third on the warriors in +/-. in the prior 2 games, where he was undoubtedly better, he was 1st in the warriors. looney's a super key piece for us, especially on the steal of a contract.
