Well, this is a season of moral victories and I’m going to take being up 8-6 vs LAL, with GSW running out the post-meteor extinction young mammals plus Wiggins who has only had time to find his locker and eat ten steaks immediately on Kerr’s orders.
YOOOO Ky Bowman got hassled disrespectfully by Avery, shook him with a behind the back dribble into an alley-oop Chriss smash
YOOOOO Wiggins hit the open corner 3!! My expectations are so low that the most basic NBA plays are getting me pumped
Jesus, this is literally Looney and the Santa Cruz Warriors. And the Sea-Dubs are absolutely hanging with the Lakers, who look a bit like The Boulder conflicted about fighting a small child before getting his butt whooped by the Blind Bandit
Hahahahaha Smiley going for the Jordan FT dunk and falling about three feet short, but I ABSOLUTELY YELLED OUT WITH JOY at the guts
Followed immediately by stuffing Kuzma on a dunk. Smiley definitely on track to being a cult hero
OMFG Smiley with Oscar-winning fake call for a dribble pitch, then surprise pivot into a big dunk. Who knew Smiley was such a hot dog
Okay, it’s interesting to see how completely lost Norville is in the system. I mean, of course, he’s new. But the other SC Warriors have been running the same system as GSW, so they aren’t lost. ZN is not seeing open cuts and is cutting open and not getting seen. Time should fix this.
Despite the lostness, Zach is playing within himself and has canned two open threes, which is a really really weird sight this season. Then he gets a hustle steal, and then gets MJax complaining about him on a drawn foul, so basically, ZACH IS NOW OFFICIALLY A SPLASH RELATIVE
LAL will 99% likely blow them out, but without Bradley’s hot shooting, GSW would be ahead in the 1st half
This is probably the most fun I’ve had watching a half that the Warriors lost by 7.
I’m going to miss the second half, where I expect it all to go downhill
Let's see how Wiggins looks when the novelty of the situation wears off and the games feel less meaningful again. Although it's not clear when that will happen given the All-Star break and Curry's impending return.
There aren't too many centers like AD (as well as the new, svelte D. Howard) to push our young post players around. These were the Lakers. Lesser teams had better watch out. Playing the hungry Dubs will be a trap for the rest of the season.
I am really excited by Wiggins length and quickness. I had not realized how much DLo’s pace slowed them down. I feel like Wigguodala will fit in personality wise and scheme wise.
That said, I saw him a time or two when his ams dropped and his body language implied less than full effort.
OK Eric - post-meteor extinction young mammals plus Wiggins - is your snark comment of the year and perhaps the decade. Going to be hard to top. Enjoyed as always. Will wait for your EOP in 10 games - ? compare/contrast Wiggins vs. the type of game played by Iggy and Barnes... Be good/we enjoy the new LGW.
I love Bowman. Win or lose that dude is a dog. Smiley looks like he has the basketball smarts to be a more mobile/aggressive jokic. All in all I like all of our young guys.
I was at the game, expecting a blow out - but the showed heart and fight and kept it close at the end. Enjoyed the game immensely. 2 favorite moments: Smiley's fake, turn and dunk, and then I think it was Chriss who blocked LeBron at the end.
Lots of Laker fans in the building. Loudest cheer of the night, by far, came when "Congratulations Klay Thompson, 30 years today" came on the screen. I guess that's something that fans of both teams can cheer for...

Had to do a double take when Poole made two shots in a row. It’s been one of those seasons

Overall, very excited about this first game.
