BBallBreakdown brought in former NBA official and head of officiating Ronnie Nunn to look controversial calls. There were two bad or missed calls that went the Nuggets’ way and at least a dozen that went the Lakers way. Pretty obvious screw job. https://youtu.be/k_Oeo_bIOKE

I'm watching it now, but from the framing of the issue, I already have a problem with it.

Look, no one is disputing that there are a lot of questionable calls - or even whistles that really don't have any objectively "one right call" - we KNOW those exist and that it'll go both ways throughout the course of any game.

What the real issue is for me is that tweet. 4 fouls, 4 fouls, 2 calls, [complains to the league] 14 fouls.

It's just a really bad look and I hate that it's making me talk about the refs

I agree about the whining to the league, but the calls shown on this video really don’t even out over the course of the game.

Per LeBron: I've referred to him for years with a Seinfield-related nickname - Cantstandya. All the whining about getting / not getting calls while looking in the mirror and worrying about his legacy and whether he's better than Jordan. He can stop. He's not. He will never be. The GOAT just did it without all the passive aggressive theatrics.

Great article. You made my day once again and I learned a lot.

LeBaby also cries every time he’s called for a foul. So over it. I don’t remember Jordan crying about calls. Who’s the GOAT?

thanks Janet! Comments like this keep us writers going, and it means the world to me!

Oh and Jordan was talking constantly, I think the issue was that the bar back then was sooooo much higher. Remember he is pretty much the reason that the league implemented flagrant fouls though, so even if he was crying to the refs, it probably wasn't over the little ones

I thought it was because Jordan was the one getting mauled. :)

I forgot to thank you for the hamster/prairie dog/meerkat moment, too. Excellent.
