Watching JK's postgame interview really brought home something I observed during the game: He wasn't rushing. Even his first drive to the basket through traffic, he went passed several defenders in (for him) slow motion and got to the hoop without anyone getting a dig at the ball.
Maybe it is Sacremento's "defense", maybe it was watching Jimmy, and maybe it was better spacing because everyone is chasing Steph but it felt like a huge step towards being a reliable driver. It looks much more Butler/SGA/Luka like than his drives pre-injury. Except the almost hitting his head of the rim part; that is pure JK.
Going 22/39 from 3 with Draymond, GP2, and Santos being 9/13 seems like a good recipe for winning games.
Takes so many levels of stupidity for Chuck to declare a Kings victory at halftime “if they stop turning it over” — starting with the fact the Warriors had *more turnovers* at the half than the Kings.
Throw in the fact the Warriors were up 10, dominating the game, and the much better team, playing at home against a mediocre team missing their best player (or two best players if you count Fox).
And I don’t buy that he was “trolling.” He’s a complete idiot who thinks he’s being smart.
no, but he stretches the floor and gets boards. They were outrebounded by 13.
edit: but yeah, they really don't have anyone other than Keon who I would call a plus defender (and I'm only saying that because I've heard he's good ... I don't really know).
Maybe, but the Warriors might have won by 50 had they not made a bunch of really foolish turnovers to close the 1st half. (along with an assist from the refs calling "illegal" screens because the defender actually got screened)
A Knox rest-of-season deal signed tomorrow would cost $511k, but count at $408k.
However, if they tacked on a second year to the deal then it would count at $511k for hard cap purposes.
Warriors need to save $12k to be able to sign someone into the 15th spot on the last day of the season for the playoffs. So if they gave the Knox two years, they would do it on Wednesday.
They also have the option of leaving the 14th spot open for 12 more days to save money, but that doesn't seem to be a priority to them.
I suspect they are waiting the full amount of time they are allowed to keep roster spot 14 open to save some pennies, and sign someone to roster spot 15 at the end of the season.
Second 10-day expired. I think they'll sign him a little later in the season to a regular pro-rated contract to save a little money. Don't really need him right now with JK back.

“Breaking the record at home”
Lol, what record? They mean the record he breaks 4-5 times a game?
I want to see him break the record 15 times in a game.

Warriors win by 20+, Lakers lose by 20. Tonight was a good night.
You didn’t even have to use your AK
Post game thread up.

He just continues to hate the Warriors.
Might be jealous, but I think he's mostly just a heel (in the pro wrestling sense). He just loves riling people by saying ridiculous stuff.
Yeah it's this. Chuck doesn't mind being the clown.
100%
wire-to-wire?
I hope someone calls Barkley on his ridiculous prediction that the Kings would win. What a jack@ss.
He just got called on it.
Shaq is making it rain.
Yeah, fuck him and the ass he rode in on. I hope Shaq bet him a cool million.
Most of his predictions are usually wrong. So, I was glad with it tonight.
Barkley is so often wrong that we WANT him to predict we'll lose. Then you know we'll win.
Precisely!
Is everybody not named Steph and Post having a 3 pt resurgence to normal %? GP2, Buddy, Dray. And of course, Podz since December.
Steph def getting lit tonight
Well, the beam isn't getting lit, so somebody should.
Winner winner have some dinner
Boom!
Lol
E1P!
As we will keep winning, many more to come.
A few years back I saw a Kings fanpage, maybe on reddit which was titled „Welcome to basketball hell“. Wonder if this is still there…
That was a direct quote from a teammate of Mitch Richmond after he arrived following the trade from the Dubs. https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/mitch-richmond-teammates-greeting-with-kings-was-welcome-to-hell
😂
A beat down with Steph really not feeling well - well well well - what a team ! - we are deep - like a well
No Sabonis. It would be different with him out there.
JV was a big factor in putting them in a ginormous hole in the 1st.
Sabonis doesn't change their big issue that they don't have defensive frontcourt players

He's good. Had 14 deflections in a single game earlier this year.

I was low-key hoping the Ws would get Valanciunas as recently this season. They did better than that.
I'm not sure we will get another center [while Steph is here] who can't shoot, after Post.
For one thing, JK needs to be maximized, and a center who lives in the paint is a bad fit.
Post on a trajectory that looks way better than JV
And he's younger and less expensive.
And in our Dutch boys honor I decided to try New Amsterdam Tonight - pretty good vodka - and now 100% win record when I drink it!
Is he sick? I thought he was just a bit anxious to get to 4,000.
I think Sabonis is dealing with a hamstring strain. Kings are on a B2B, so I think he'll play tomorrow.
I was responding to the comment about Steph not feeling well.
Birthday party was early me thinks
They showed him favoring his back during warmups.
Sore back apparently?
What happened with Knox’s contract situation?
He was going to be really expensive to sign and it would basically hard cap the Warriors.
It would be a prorated minimum deal. So we didn't have even that much space under the 1st apron? (We've been hard capped all year.)

Warriors current space below the hard-cap: $521k

no need to stress. They can sign him and will

Is he back with the SC Dubs, Sab?
Looks like he was inactive for their most recent game.

Thanks!
Was he waived? Let walk?

Second 10 day contract expired.
I guess I’m surprised someone didn’t sign him
Everybody's roster is probably full right now and it isn't like he has shown that much that a team would jettison somebody to get him.
I don't think there is any news.
They are probably waiting until the last day they can keep roster spot 14 empty to sign him.
Look at the smile on that young man!!
God the kings are so annoying. Glad we crushed em in the end.
Congrats to Steph on 4k threes and Kerr tying the great Al Attles for Warriors regular season wins.
Also congrats to Kuminga coming back after such a long absence and looking great.
Now we can all enjoy our pie guilt free tomorrow. Happy Piday, everyone!
