The difference I see in Wiggins this year is his ferociousness. Driving to the basket, rebounding, put backs, and hounding on ball defense. He's not a verbally expressive player, but his body language has changed considerably. He's become present on the court. With his increased efficiency, I would have to consider him an all star.

I like to remind myself that the warriors have the best basketball player to ever play, EVER. In the history of humanity. Playing on the Waaaaaaaaaarriors!

If the Warriors beat the Clippers and the Suns twice the 15-16 Warriors talk will start to explode

Enough of this doom & gloom handwringing. Dubs will take over in the 3rd quarter after they've had brunch. Just like always. From what I've seen, the Clippers have not exactly been blowing anybody away to get to their 10-8 record. First meeting was close because it was just the 2nd game of the season for the Dubs. They didn't fully know what they had at that point even though they were coming off a win against the Lakers.

A thought (or two) on GP2 and Kerr’s system. I was really excited when Payton showed up from what seemed like nowhere to get a look. As an undersized guard with an outside shot that doesn’t always fall I could understand their reluctance in adding him onto the end of the roster. I love sports fairytales though and the fact that he played so much like his HOF father; his local roots and journey around the fringes of the pros had me really rooting for him to catch on with the W’s. What we’re seeing from Payton now is a guy who was made for Kerr’s preferred style of uptempo, high IQ, motion heavy basketball. He’s been given the freedom to roam the floor as a disruptor, rebounder, and even point of attack. In Kerr-ball, those whose choose constant movement rewards themselves.

Interesting stuff in this article suggesting the Clippers should not double/trap Curry. Apparently they just tried this against Doncic snd lost to the Mavs: https://www.si.com/nba/clippers/.amp/news/la-clippers-vs-golden-state-warriors-should-the-clippers-trap-steph-curry

I felt like the Charlotte loss was a result of the Warriors looking ahead at the Brooklyn match up and taking their eyes off the ball in front of them. It's human nature and not the last time it will happen. This feels like one of those games with back to back against Phoenix looming. The Phoenix games will be the real test at the quarter mark of the season. So long as Leonard is out, I don't think the Warriors take the Clippers seriously enough. But the Clippers will think otherwise. Should be rough and tumble game with a lot of GP II and JTA. Staples Center, day game, Phoenix on the horizon ... this game has letdown written all over it. Let's pray for rain, in the name of Poole having a big game to turn another 'down by double digit' game into a win.

>>If you parse out the rest of the season using the current winning percentage, this year’s Warriors team would end up with a record of… 73-9. And while that’s not the goal, it serves as a reminder of just how well Golden State is playing.

Of course 73-9 isn't the goal. Been there, done that. 74-8 is the goal! :D
