To anyone living or who has friends/family in Eastern European regions where things have escalated quickly, just want to wish you safety. It looks like this has gone from ominous to grim to violent, and I only hope that peace in the area could somehow still prevail. It is a scary situation.

“With some critical players coming back, who could get pushed out of the Warriors rotation?”

Assuming everyone is healthy, That’s an easy one for me: James Wiseman first and foremost followed closely by Bjelica then Moody. It’s going to be a Looney, Draymond-centric lineup at the 5 with the occasional Porter and even JTA

I can see a first round lineup consisting of Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, Looney w/ Poole, Iguodala, Porter, Sydells Husband, JTA, GP2 and Kuminga coming off the bench. Then I see that rotation further tightening to just Poole, Iguodala, Porter, and GP2 and possibly Kuminga going into the 2nd round and potentially beyond. I really am a believer that Kuminga will carve himself a role on the player roster.

Please educate me. I looked at the statistics above about how he fits well with other players, but As a non-basketball player, when I watch Jordan Poole he seems erratic and inefficient, his shooting seems widely variable, his defense is usually him running with his arms flailing in the air behind the person whom he’s supposed to be guarding (whom he then fouls) and doing a whole lot of dribbling, sometimes in circles. I would very much love to be educated as to why he will be worth $20 million a year next year. Thnx

I was diving deep into the STATS trying to determine if the Warriors would benefit from a higher dosage of pick and rolls (I have a sneaking suspicion that a high dosage of pick and rolls allows for more stable offensive output on a game to game basis in the regular season allowing for a better record).

In any case, I learned that the Warriors actually are quite good in the pick and roll when the ball handler is attacking producing 0.92 PPP which is 3rd in the league while also being the 27th ranked in frequency. However, what I found particularly interesting, is the fact that the Warriors (most infrequent in possessions where the roll man is attacking) were also the most unproductive team with this playtype. This is problematic because plays where the roller is attacking is one of the most productive in terms of PPP.

I suspect our lack of productivity is due to Looney/Nemanja/Dray being our primary bigs who don't exactly give us vertical spacing. Its not that big of a deal, considering this playtype isn't particularly frequent throughout the league + not featured in our system, but it does indicate that Wiseman can provide some marginal value to the Warriors offensively simply by being an effective rolling threat.

What do you guys think?

Nurkic out 4 weeks with plantar fascitis. Perhaps it's real and if so this is a fucked up comment by me, but I'm guessing it more likely signals the beginning of post-All Star break all out tank season.

This is also another reason the Warriors likely won't catch the Suns. Both the Warriors and Suns still play the Blazers once more, but a win for both teams would benefit the Suns since they control their own 1 seed destiny. And I doubt Portland will be the only team discovering injuries for veteran players.

Although one definite benefit for the Warriors is that Looney isn't going to have to go against a guy who weighs 50+ pounds more than him tomorrow.

Combinations and on & off.

Either one of Steph or Poole is always on the floor and Poole should get 6-12 min a game with Steph.

Either one of Klay & Wiggs always on the floor and likely Wiggs gets the lion's share of non-Curry minutes anchoring the 2nd Unit with Poole.

When Draymond is not on the floor, either Andre or OPJ. I think it's very important that one of these 2 vets is in the game when Dray sits. They both bring high IQ and stabilize any lineup.

In my mind, there should always be some 3-man combination of these guys and mix and match the rest.

A lineup I would like to see? Steph-Poole-Klay-Dray-Wiseman

I like a second unit 3 man core of Poole-Wiggs-Looney as the foundation of the second unit with combinations of Andre/OPJ/JFK/GP2 mixed in.

I tend to believe we'll get a better Wiseman grouping him with the starters, making him another offensive option. It's always been a bit of a stretch having too many minutes of Dray with Loon. Looney would shore up the D on the second unit. Anywho, I like starter minutes for Wiseman (when he would be matched up against the big boys), Looney shoring up the D on the second unit, Green to close out halves and that's my center rotation.

Hard to go wrong with any of the combinations Kerr has to work with.

Are we all going to just going to act like Robin Lopez isn't coming in on a buyout to take 38 minutes a game and lead us to a championship?

A little OT but was anybody at game 7 of the 16 Finals? I remember going to my car after the game ended and Stephon Marbury was parked near me lol. He was with his nephew/son/some random kid but talk about random. I'm more than positive that was him, he even had the tattoo.

Steph, Klay and Poole are a well-oiled machine, so the moniker and merch is already ready: https://driver-apparel.com/store/other/other-car-shirts/vintage-stp-oil-shirt/?v=f24485ae434a

Curry, Klay, Draymond, Wiggins, Poole, Looney, Porter, Kuminga, Wiseman, Payton, and Andre.

If those 11 are healthy then they're getting the lion's share of playoff minutes, in my opinion. Kerr being Kerr he'll make sure everyone plays at some point, but I'll match up those 11 with any other playoff roster out there.

The three keys for the rest of the season need to be a. Health (especially for Draymond and Andre), b. Get Kuminga further integrated, and c. Get Wiseman integrated (this is assuming his yet to be confirmed March 1st return).

If we have a full month and a half with essentially all our guys playing together before the playoffs I like our chances.
