Going back to the Star Wars stuff and the upcoming Obi Wan show, this 18-minute video by Ryan of ScreenCrush is a REALLY compelling argument about why Ol’ Ben is the most important character in all of Star Wars. A good watch in preparation for the show: https://youtu.be/FSPeD7ldkoI
Tonight’s the night I think we’ll see the damage we’ve done to Luka’s stamina and his shooting/defense drop way off in the 3 & 4th, just need to play the first half like we value possessions and we’ll all be feet up on our couches tomorrow night watching Celtics/Heat trading blows for the privilege of facing us in Chase in a week
Eh, crypto is crypto. This is going to happen, and recessions will hit crypto hardest. But as someone who hasn't and won't ever invest a dime in crypto, I bet it will recover.
Also, is Steph a "tech bro"? He owns some BAYC NFTs & is being paid to shill for some marketplace thing or whatever. Just because somebody "owns" this nonsense doesn't mean they're a tech bro, does it? I get that it's fun to derisively label "tech bro"s, but it loses it's sting if applied to liberally ;-)
BRB, there's some kids lighting NFT poop bags on my digital lawn.
Mini-rant here, but several Dubs own BAYC. I know def Steph and Wiggs, and I'm sure others, too. However, BAYC founders apparently have ties to Neo-Nazi and anti-semitic orgs. Also, looking through the NFT's themselves, Nazi and racist imagery is def apparent. https://gordongoner.com. So, it makes me sad that Steph and other Dubs would support this, albeit, I'm sure unwittingly.
You are correct, Steph does own at least one BAYC NFT and is sponsored by FTX. (Sadly I understand every reference they’re making in that commercial he does with Shaq).
And Duby I kinda feel bad for the guy because depending on his collection size he could have been sitting on anywhere from six to eight figures of value.
I am nervous. Feels like as the series has gone on, Mavs are figuring out/getting used to Dubs' mix-it-up-on-the-fly kitchen sink defense. I feel like we will have to win G5 at offensive end. Here is to hoping that Klay goes semi-G6 mode, Poole has a 20+ and we hit 50% on 3s.
If last game ended in a blowout I would have been nervous. But the run the bench made in the fourth gave me confidence that the dubs are gonna close this out.
Eh, last game we missed a bunch of makable shots in the first quarter, they made some adjustments we weren't ready for (e.g. loading up zones and cutting, instead of "5-out"), and they made their shots. If we continue to miss makable shots and not account for their adjustments, and they continue to make all their shots, they will win and we shall tip our cap. However, starting tonight, we will account for their adjustments, we will make a more reasonable quantity of shots, they will make fewer, and we will win.
I'm always nervous. Was especially nervous for the first two games of the Denver series before I remembered what watching playoff basketball is like. Then I settled in.
Poole between the legs splitting the double was amazing.
And I feel a little bad for picking a Memphis play over Andre's behind-the-back long-distance lead-pass assist to to DLee... but Steven Adams' touchdown pass to a Ja Morant fadeaway touch-shot buzzer-beater is just multiple levels of unbelievable.
Just a heads up, I have two annoying comments I am going to make because the previous three times I have done both we have won all the games. When I didn't, we lost. So bare with me, I am superstitious....
Golden State Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr. (foot) is not expected to play tonight in Game 5 against the Dallas Mavericks, league sources tell @YahooSports
I think the Dubs are supremely confident going into today's game and feel they'll do just fine without OPJ. Let him rest - he could be the key player in Finals.
Can be both appropriately afraid of the capability of the opponent AND supremely confident in their ability to defeat the opponent despite it's incredible skill
I'm traveling out of the country until June 12. The Substack interface doesn't seem to work well on my phone but I'll try to say hello. Worse, the games will be aired at weird times if at all and I probably won't have opportunities to say "skip the amazing tourist spot, I'm watching a ballgame." So ... good luck all. Go Dubs. I have full faith in a championship. Take care, all.

That was great. Thanks.
Also, Scott “The Extender” Foster is leading the officiating crew tonight.

Man the media is really starting to gas up Steph and are already talking about legacy.
I’m loving the praise, but can’t we a last wait to see if we’ve made the Finals before we’re having these conversations?

California Dreamin' but it's about tech bro losing his crypto

Crypto is the wild west.
But we're not supposed to feel sorry for Tech Bros!
that's OP 's language, but I hear ya!

Let's go.

Uh oh Mavs have figured us out!!!!
We taking this tonight, believe

And that is why I am just nervous and not super nervous.
I'm always nervous. Was especially nervous for the first two games of the Denver series before I remembered what watching playoff basketball is like. Then I settled in.
All, I'm really confused as to what I'm feeling. Am I wildly nervous, or am I recklessly overconfident? Or am I just a little peckish and sleepy???
You decide.
Calm with a hint of FINISH THEM
You called?
Vote for the photo of GPII's dunk. Several Dubs moments to vote on. GPII pic is the last.

Man, there's some awesome plays in there.

It's Game DDDay!!! Go Dubs!
Just a heads up, I have two annoying comments I am going to make because the previous three times I have done both we have won all the games. When I didn't, we lost. So bare with me, I am superstitious....
I'm not sure I want to bare with you, Freddy.
I said I am superstitious Hashemite! You Have To!
(my bad, at my work we had just discussed "bear" vs. "bare" last week and I still mix them up)
Don't be baring any bears, now! (Well the Dubs did that to the Grizzlies, but still :)
ah well, I figured it was gonna go this way

Let OPJ get as much rest as he needs.
Do the Warriors no longer believe in gamesmanship and waiting to leak this stuff until as close to the game as possible?
FWIW, Otto is still listed as questionable on the most recent injury report
Booo. Bummed that he’s not 100% good to go, but happy that we’re erring on the side of caution. Now we just gotta make sure we win.
I think the Dubs are supremely confident going into today's game and feel they'll do just fine without OPJ. Let him rest - he could be the key player in Finals.
Supremely confident is what scares me. :)
I'd prefer a little more 'appropriate fear' (to use Pop's term).
Can be both appropriately afraid of the capability of the opponent AND supremely confident in their ability to defeat the opponent despite it's incredible skill
I'm good with whichever one results in fewer one-handed passes to a spectator holding a beer.
It's ok, GP2's gonna be there to get them a replacement.
I have decided I want Wiggins to drop a forty-bomb and win conference finals MVP.
I have decided that I want you to be half right
Steph and I have decided that we don't care who wins WCFMVP, just so long as Steph and the Warriors win the WCF to advance to The Finals.
(Note: Steph and I have come to this decision completely independently and have not communicated with each other about this matter even once)
Oh what the heck. Why not. Let's do it.

Thanks all for the kind comments. Keep the faith and don't let up, the team depends on YOU!

That's doesn't work unless he uses VPN to be on a US based WAN IP address.
But alot of countries show Playoffs live now. Asher just has to forego sleep for two weeks because of timezone differences.
Asher: I’m going to miss these next few games.
Kerr: I’m going to play Kuminga 48/minutes a game just to spite him.

We’re going to miss your witty and entertaining comments.
Hope you can make it to the parade.

Warriors have never lost a playoff game at Chase Center. You can't mess with historical greatness. Warriors winning tonight.
