We almost managed to throw this one away with some dunderhead moves in the 4th, but the Kings did us a solid and sucked too.
I continue to be skeptical of Oubre's defensive principles and offensive efficiency. Like, him bungling a switch or something was how Halliburton, Barnes, and Hield got open looks throughout, and he had a few more cases of trying to force in a well-contested shot when one of his teammates was open on the perimeter. But he has hops, he's figured out when to run the baseline for a backdoor dunk, and he can use his length well on defense when he's in position to (so, on-ball). But I definitely feel some of those units he's in are missing the BBIQ of Kent and Damion during their absence.
Weirdly, this feels like two in a row where the opposing team did a good job defending Steph, yet once again he has well over 30 points. So that's still kind of insane.
Draymond looked amazing again, too. Defensive prowess aside, I have to wonder where he ranks in NBA history for double doubles without 10+ points. We all know about the triple double sans points of course.
I will say, much as I was (and contribute to be) skeptical of Mulder, I have to give him props for stepping up. Some of those jams these last couple days were savage! And his defense has been pretty ok as teams seem more interested in picking on Poole, and understandably so.
According to tankathon strength of schedule, spurs and Portland have tough schedules remaining, and dubs, Memphis and Dallas have easy schedules remaining. I doubt that’s accounting for top teams resting starters or the Twolves emergence. Of course anything can happen, and a win tomorrow puts the 6 seed within reach, but I predict we play Memphis for the 7 seed on the final game of the season.
I’m optimistic on GP2. Usually when a guy on a 10day takes the floor it’s pretty obvious why they got cut from their last team. So far, every minute of Payton has been solid, and its easy to forgive the missed dunk that took out the arena lights.

Big loss for Dallas - a Warriors win tomorrow and 6th seed will stay a realistic goal.
