In the past few days...

Wolves beat Pels by 30

Pels beat Clips by 20

Clips beat Warriors by 26

Warriors beat Jazz by 12

Which I guess means the worst team in the league is 88 points better than the best team?

What a game! The starters came out red hot, making their shots, playing with intensity, and most importantly they were able to successfully poke the ball away to steal it for some easy points. That group actually securing defensive rebounds was also huge (doubly so because the Frenchman on the other team is huge).

I got nervous when the second unit started by giving up a 7-0 run where they had poor shots and really bad defense, but they managed to find their footing and earn back some of the points they had lost by the time Steph and Draymond subbed back in.

But man, everyone who played looked locked in, people bottomed their shots, there were not many mistakes—a couple missed switches here, some bad passes there—overall a very strong game. Any team worse than the Jazz would've been halfway on the plane by midway through the 4th Q, but Utah played tough and kept it in doubt until the final minutes.

I have a feeling all the guys who didn't get any minutes this game will be important tomorrow and throughout the week since the Dubs have 5 games in 7 days if I'm reading the calendar right. I hope they're up to the task.

Oh yeah, and this scratches another top-tier opponent off the to-do list. Brooklyn got us good, we're 0-1 against Phoenix and Milwaukee and we haven't played Philly yet, but we've taken a game off almost every other contender in the league already this season. Gotta love that.

Team DVR here.

Best game of the year from Wiggins, best game of the year from Wiseman, best game of the year from Poole.

Everyone played with intensity, but the two tuning points of the game were when the second unit didn't fold after getting slammed early in the 2nd and 4th.

What’s peoples take on Bazemore? On a vet minimum, he certainly is a solid player. And sometimes the chaos that he brings on D plus the corner three make me think he’s better than solid. And then I look at his plus/minus per 48. Highest on warriors by far, and many of his other numbers appear better than Oubre or Wiggins, which are both pretty solid wings (I know wiggs is overpaid, but I do think he’s a legit NBA player). Is it possible that Bazemore is actually as good as Wiggs or Oubre?

Most impressive win of the season for multiple reasons. I hope this is a sign of things to come because this was a lot more fun than the last few games.

Hello yes, I am also part of the late DVR crowd. Fantastic game, and I REALLY needed to see this flash. I'll never totally lose hope, but I missed the fun of winning.

Sounds like Steph and Dray on that same vibe

> Connor Letourneau

Steph Curry on him and Draymond Green: "I think we've fallen in love with the challenge of getting back to winning basketball."

I also just finished the game off DVR. That was real fun. I loved how every lineup played with energy. The bench unit has often been such a drop in intensity, but the 2nd unit came ready to play hard (I think attributed to all of Poole, Mannion, and Wiseman having something to prove).

Was mentioned in the comment thread already, but the impact of Draymonds offense cannot be understated. It changes the floor when he is a threat to score, either from 3, or at the rim.

And just think if Wiggins could play like that every night....

Just finished watching from my DVR. Great effort - ferocious D with the starting five. Still pretty shaky with the new bench mob but Wiseman looked a lot more comfortable out there and it was great to see Wiggins shine. Oubre was quiet offensively, but he didn't try to force anything (except the dunk effort over Gobert) and was a madman on defense.

Hope they can keep it up tomorrow against the Lakers!

Pros are currently stomping the Clippers, can’t say I mind that at all. Also, TWolves beat the Blazers.

I have been waiting to say it, but I feel it is time since it is his birthday. He is the perfect combination of pesky, steady and sneaky-athletic. I am firmly on the island of the “Red-headed Steph-child”. Happy Birthday to son of Pace. You are no longer a teen-ager, you are now a real man(nion).

Dear Mr. Hardee you just had a podcast explaining all the reasons why this team can’t possibly stay together. Now you give us the all caps opposite. While I completely feel you and have similar hopes, could you find some equally/even more compelling people to have a podcast with to show us all the ways this team will/should stay together?

You know just incase you all are influencing the influencers?

The more confidence Poole plays with, the better he is. The Jazz came out picking on Poole and Mannion hard and they responded like winners. Pretty cool they kept Poole out there to close. Don’t give him the Tech free throws yet though?

There is one time a game when I'm okay with Dubs turnovers; often times an errant pass (the ones we all scream at...) and the text book example happened again today.

Seen it at least ten times this year, and it again today. Utah has a 3 on 1 fastbreak, and they blow it. Because, as you watch it, you can see their eyes light up and they then realize the sole defender is Dray. It's like they almost recoil in fear - hyperbole, of course, but when you replay it... ;)

Every time, they slow up, they hesitate, they're confused. Often times Dray's reach will disrupt it, but just as often, Dray's reputation alone causes the fast break to designate into a cluster***k.

It's really a marvelous thing to behold.

It's an amazing thing, caused by an amazing player.

Today, they blew the3 on 1 layup after indecisively passing the ball, got the rebound, and iirc, Clarkson airballed a three.

Dray.

Awesome! Can’t help but think the coaching staff is incredible. They get so much out of practices and are so good in games against teams they’ve lost to. Would this be a top 5 team in a normal season with a full off season and practices?

Favorite games so far this season? Here’s my top 5:

1. Today vs. The Jazz

2. Beating the Lakers

3. Beating the Clippers

4. First win of the season - Lee’s game winner vs. Daa Bulls

5. Curry’s 63 vs. the Blazers after the “washed” talk.
