I found him to be quite engaged in the G-League game I watched closely. The clips I saw elsewhere as examples of his defensive laziness were just bad switches. Planning to share those soon.
I'm not going to say he's always locked in on D, but I think he has a lot of pride and responsibility on that end.
they’re saying on ESPN Klay is targeting christmas as a return date and that’s on the “conservative side”. of course i don’t believe a word they say. if i had to guess though he’s probably coming back at the beginning of december at 10 minutes a night.
OT: does anyone know if RPM has changed their secret sauce lately?
Like, I always knew advanced stats loved Steph, but...
Top 5 NBA players by RPM, last eight seasons
====
2020-21: Curry, LeBron, Gobert, George, Giannis
2019-20: n/a (Curry out)
2018-19: Curry, LeBron, Harden, Giannis, Lowry
2017-18: Lowry, Curry, VanVleet, Paul, Harden
2016-17: Curry, LeBron, Paul, Lowry, Gobert
2015-16: Curry, LeBron, Durant, Leonard, Lowry
2014-15: Curry, Paul, LeBron, Korver, Durant
2013-14: Paul, Curry, Durant, Harden, Nowitzki
Curry tally: five times #1, two times #2, one DNP.
I'm assuming they build in a lot of priors such that these are not independent results, but even then: does their formula include adjustments for having green eyes and being a scratch golfer?
2015-2016 has changed multiple times, I specifically remember Curry was #1 at the time and then after the season I think it became LeBron but Draymond was #3 and now it looks like it's back to Curry but Draymond isn't there anymore?
AFAIK, RPM is proprietary secret sauce. However it is believed that one of the priors it uses is height and wingspan, so funnily enough, it likely punishes Steph for his body by dinging his DRPM.
Jan 29th KD Return. Hopefully Klay's playing meaningful minutes by then. That will be such an epic game - Kyrie, Harden, KD vs Steph, Klay, Dray...damn got to wait a whole 5 months for that
This guy JFK directs a lot of defensive coverages for someone who’s a defensive slacker.

Very cool to see and hear, especially knowing it’s something he said he’s been consciously working on improving.

SAS at home on Dec 4 looks like good place to start… then hold him out of back to backs for the rest of the month
Rest of the year
Yeah highly doubt he plays b2bs

I think I remember someone complaining that ESPN tinkered with it, but I can't remember.

'14-15 Korver doing the stats equivalent of a photo bomb and then ESPN tweaks their formula haha

I mean if it doesn't it should?

I just hope he's playing "minutes" by then, meaningful minutes after the ASB would be good.
Sadly, I think the chances are pretty high that at least one of those 6 players is out for any given game. Basketball is just that kind of game.
Yeah I was thinking the same
Nice to see professional gamers getting some love here 👍
yo! Schedule is out!!

29 national games. 2nd to lakers who have 30. Gotta love it. Now hopefully we don't embarrass ourselves as much as last year
> 29 national games
Also means it's definitely not worth a League Pass this year haha... that model is so dumb
LP is worth it every year that Steph is playing.
(Note: I am out of market)
Not including NBA TV. I think it's 41 including that
2021-22: 1 game every 2.11 days
2020-21: 1 game every 2.01 days (does not include play-ins)
2018-19: 1 game every 2.15 days
2015-16: 1 game every 2.06 days
So we should expect a few more relief days off but not a huge difference.
Also, with 8 of the last 11 being on the road, less likely we'll have a strong* season-ending run compared with this past season.
*play-ins excluded
I counted 13
I think it's just counting the Saturday/Sunday ones and the end of January/beginning of February one.
If you bring probability into it that’s a whole new level.
My dog?
Ooooof that is sad news
Haha! Thanks; how did it twist your mind?
