I told him I'm expecting 60 from Poole tonight. I don't think he believed me.

Ron's pre game assessment: we should hope for mercy.

I just shook Ron Adam's hand and had a chat with him! Super nice guy!

I'll give more details later, but spoiler alert: he doesn't like our chances tonight.

I propose a new headline.

Warriors unable to overcome 5 vs 8 advantage, fall to Celtics and refs in overtime.

Are you not entertained?

Bummer, I ordered the Klay on a boat DNHQ shirt, and zazzle canceled the order because of Klay image copyright stuff. Seems to me that in a stylized image that doesn't even show his face, that should be okay. Bleh.

How to balance a nasty lethargy inducing head cold and create energetic karma to drive Dubs’ bench to VICTORY:

1. Consume a very large bowl of vanilla ice cream.

2. Go to the NBA All-Star site and vote for all Dubs. Steph, Klay, Dray, Loon and Wiggs are obviously the five best players in the West.

3. Eat a second bowl of ice cream with the flavor of your choice.

4. Go into brief sugar-induced coma. Every sleep-induced muscle twitch means another made three for Lamb.

5. Watch the game.

6. VICTORY over Cleveland.

Once again, Science shows us the path to Truth.

How very convenient that every incorrect call disadvantaged the Warriors. I should probably feel better about knowing the game was in fact stolen, by the 5 on 8 advantage but somehow I don't really.

I do feel better that the uncalled foul on Poole was in fact a foul and not a figment of my imagination.

But only this - much. That's a skosh for those wondering.

How annoyed? Extremely and frustratingly annoyed.

Sad OT loss but throughout the game, I kept thinking that these guys still have it. Just need stakes to play for.

So let''s finish off as #6 seed healthy and we should be fine. [I have givenup hope on being #4 seed or better]

Having said that, JP"s offensive and defensive execution in closing crunch minutes needs to improve.

Jan 30 will be game 50... which means 32 games left. Of those 32, 22 of them will be against the current #3-#13 seeds in the West... who are all currently +/- 4 games relative to the Dubs. So there will be a lot of opportunity to make up ground or create some separation.

Hey all, it sucks that all of our stars are out, cus I'm going to be at the game tonight!

Not even joking, Ron Adams is hooking me up with tickets. Not sure if I'll get to meet him or not. I'll let you know the details when I can.

Approximately 45 games into the year, and given the increased talent in the NBA, I think it’s safe to say that we need to add talent around the margins if we are to win another championship this year.

Just comparing ourselves to last years roster, GP2/Otto/Belly all played meaningful/ impactful minutes in the playoffs last year. Our current playoff roster in the margins is Donte/Kuminga/Lamb/Green. Donte roughly cancels out GP2 but Kuminga/Lamb can’t compete with Otto’s combo of shooting, rebounding, and ability to defend the five. Still, it’s close enough so we can continue to the final comparison which is Green vs Belly. Belly was a perfect fit in our system and his defensive lapses were covered by our team defense and he did a surprisingly good job against opposing centers. Green is undetermined but lousy so far. So we are roughly the same in overall talent but with an edge to last year in terms of synergy.

Truth is, I don’t want to be roughly as good talent wise as last year because last year was something magical as our chemistry was off the charts with undersized players who could rebound above their position and always made the right pass/rotation AND and Wiggins/Poole played out of their mind so there is no certainty they will repeat this performance. Not to mention, we didn’t have to face a full strength Denver/Grizzlies/Celtics team all of whom are better this year (Denver is healthy along with additions of players like KCP/Brown; Grizzlies will have Morant/Bane healthy + Bane has made a jump as a scorer and Jackson has become a defensive player of the year quality defender; Celtics have added Brogdon and Robert Williams fully healthy) so we also need to be better.

Okay so how can we maximize our chances . . .trade Wiseman for a competent stretch 4 who can play 5 or a multi faceted big. I wanted Wood last year but I guess that’s too late now so here are some other options.

Collins’s/Poetl have already been discussed ad nauseum so I’ll leave those alone for now . . .

Mo Wagner: A big who can stretch the floor, has been a competent decision maker, and has been a defensive plus for his team even if he isn’t a traditional shot blocker.

Plumlee: While a defensive sieve who can’t hit FT, the hope is that our excellent perimeter defense will allow his other strengths to shine which is that he is an excellent finisher/scorer inside who is a fantastic rebounder/passer. He is a system fit for sure.

Noel: While his scoring has taken a massive drop lately, with the space he’ll get with the Warriors he can still finish and he is still an excellent defender/shot blocker. Let him be our Javale and take some of the burden off Dray/Looney defending inside and allow for our perimeter defense to shine with some rim protection.

Loved the effort last night. Shocked that Steph showed that he was a mortal during the 4th quarter. I believe he ended five consecutive possessions with either a turnover or missed shot when we had a chance to put some real distance on the Celtics. Better in the regular season than in the playoffs. Now - let's just make sure we get to the playoffs......
