From there, the Celtics slowly constricted the Warriors offense into an ineffective slog, pestering the Dubs into difficult sequences that they couldn’t shoot their way out of. Golden State ended the game shooting a listless 12-of-39 from three-point range, which wasn’t gonna get it done against a dark horse title contender like Boston.
The poor shooting overshadowed a decent defensive effort from the Warriors, as they forced 21 turnovers held the Celtics to 47% shooting. Unfortunately, the Dubs couldn’t finish those defensive possessions consistently by cleaning up the glass, as Boston outhustled them for 14 offensive rebounds.
3 games in the loss column behind the second through fourth worst teams. Working out pretty well. Might need to extend that lead a bit more for when Curry comes back.
