I think with Wiseman's athletic ability and length he should become a better perimeter defender to not allow teams to go small and play him off the court, but if his hip mobility keeps him from doing that and he becomes a rudy like defender who can strictly guard the paint hes gotta go imo
Finally watched the Carmelo shot from yesterday.... all I can say is LOL! I think Lebron is about to mentally check out soon and is looking to go home to Cleveland.
The Lakers are a perfect example of how the correlation between experience and basketball IQ is not nearly as linear as most assume it is. That last shot by Melo would be a bad shot for even Steph, no idea how he thought it was a good idea (especially as merely passing to a wide open THT would probably lead to an open layup).
Even for the Lakers, Reaves is probably their 3rd/4th smartest player, and he's a rookie.
Quick update on one of my favorite non-Warriors . . . .
With Ibaka traded, Hartenstein is finally getting the minutes he deserves. In the previous game against the Rockets, he dropped 13 pts, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 5 blocks in 25 minutes. In the game against the Lakers today, he dropped 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks in 28 minutes.
He leads centers in defensive rating and when he’s on the floor, the Clippers have the best net rating in the NBA. He’s the only player under 25 years old in NBA history with a PER above 21, a AST% above 16%, and Stl% above 2% and a Blk% above 5%.
I truly do believe if Hartenstein is given more minutes, he could have an All Star level impact, I’m still salty the Warriors didn’t grab him.
Pelicans beat the Suns 117-102. CJ McCollum scored 32 points, Ingram had 28, and Valanciunas had 18. As for the Suns, Booker had 30 points, Ayton had 20, and Johnson had 15.
While the Mavericks lost to the Jazz tonight, the two new players the Mavs got in the Porzingis trade (Bertans and Dinwiddie) scored a lot of points tonight.
So I was born in Philly and have lived in the Bay Area for 15 years. I slowly realized I hated the northeast. I still like the sixers but Steph and the warriors replaced them. So do I now have to root for James the Hardon? Something doesn’t feel right here
Warriors crush Blazers 132-95 to get a good start out of the break
Is shawn Kemp a good comp for kuminga? Let me go watch some tape
What is the “Portland was too small Ernie “ referencing?
Nets: 18/25 FTs
Bucks: 20/32 FTs
That's a lot of missed FTs.
I didn't know Bobby Portis was actually a decent player
I ❤️ Curry the sober facilitator

Wiseman was recalled from the G-League squad today. March 1 seems to be happening.
Denver now 34-25 with the Mavs 35-25. If the Grizz are #3 and the Mavs are #6, I'd favour the Mavs in that matchup.

Lakers-Clippers is a very close game

Bertans: 17 points 6/9 FGs 5/8 threes
Dinwiddie: 20 points 8/12 FGs 3/4 threes 1/1 FT
Sixers and Harden were good tonight. Suns are losing, finally. Can't wait for Wiseman to get back.
