Warriors beat full powered Suns, reclaim NBA's best record
No Christmas miracle needed when you've just got a better core
The Golden State Warriors put the Phoenix Suns away late to waltz out of Phoenix with the league’s best record, and a message sent. Given the circumstances coming in — Warriors missing many players and coaches — it would have been all too easy to claim a moral victory just by keeping it close. But you don’t need moral victories when you can just go out and get a good old fashioned win!
There is plenty of credit to go around, but my Warrior Wonder is Otto Porter tonight. Stepping into the starting lineup is nice enough of him, but winning the game by exploding in the 4th quarter? Too kind, sir. Too kind.
13 points on 8 shots in the final frame to help rock Chris Paul and his Suns to sleep.
But again, just a fantastic team effort tonight to keep it close. And then it was just a classic Warriors two-way clinic to end the game.
As always, this is just a brief fresh thread for the community, Dub Nation HQ will be back tomorrow with more coverage of this awesome game! Woo!
The combination of beating the two teams pettiest towards the Warriors back-to-back, AND doing it shorthanded with rookies/G-league call-ups?
Absolutely satisfying. #ArrogantSZN about to be back in full force.
I said this in the game thread, but if GP2 and JFK are actual bonafide 3-point threats, it’s hard to imagine anything but health issues stopping this team.
