Haliburton is the best Kings PG, trade Fox

Expand full comment

A PG who can't create off the dribble for himself and for others? Sorry, not seeing it. Fox is imperfect but he is leading the Kings to the 11th best offense in the league.

Haliburton is basically a better shooting, worse defending Brogdon who has shown a very limited ability to create for himself thus far and cannot drive left. He's very valuable, but he's not a PI (or PG) on offense.

Expand full comment

Yeah, Fox didn’t do anything tonight. Total non factor.

Expand full comment

Fox is actually having a slightly better season than Ja Morant, even though Ja was dubbed by someone (Bill Simmons?) as "the player De'Aaron Fox wishes he was."

Dubs are tied with San Antonio in games back, one behind Memphis, one and a half behind Portland, three behind Dallas.

When trapped, why no Timeout is absolutely quizzical to me.

Expand full comment

It shouldn’t be surprising at this point... maybe a fundamental they need to practice

Kerr is straight up just looking at it happen in that moment.

Harrison Barnes for Warrior Wonder tonight. (Not sure any actual Warrior deserves it)

Dray probably

Draymond.

True. Was off early but finished strong and that block was a thing of beauty.

8 pts 14 reb 13 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, team-high +13

Let’s be honest Steph had 37 and still deserved it even though he almost threw it away down the stretch.

Gary Payton II executed his job to perfection tonight, give it to him

To be fair to Steph - his game seems to go off-rails after he got that rug burn.

And

He did have that block

Expand full comment

I am gonna just pretend it was a block 😃

Expand full comment

It's a block in the books!

It was amazing until the replay, then, oops and a big smile

“Block”

Expand full comment

Lebron may have had The Block but Steph has the "Block"

Expand full comment

And Steph's was on young, bouncy 6'-10" center Richaun Holmes, where LeBum's was on a broken Iguodala whose back was so bad he could barely get off the ground.

Missed the ball by like a foot, but other than that...

I kinda feel like Wiggs won the game with that contest

Expand full comment

Turns out he was letting Barnes score on him on purpose to set him up for that final shot contest.

The old Bill Russell ploy.

Is it possible to have a bad 37 pts on 11/21 FG 7/14 3P? Because Steph tried.

Don't you dare besmirch him!! Lol 37 points on killer efficiency? He gets tremendous forgiveness in all aspects

Expand full comment

His 4th quarter was rough. But quarters 1-3, he was damn supernova. I suppose I can forgive him.

No to mention a lot of the “sloppiness” is being trapped, double and triple teamed all game.

Yeah, the miracle is how rarely it seems to have an effect on him

Is there such thing as a feel bad win?

Expand full comment

Yes, when you lose a player to injury.

So, we good tonight.

Expand full comment

Ah, good point. That's the only real "feel bad win."

I might also have felt kinda bad if Steph had scored like 9 points, hit zero threes to break his streak, and booted away his shot at the scoring title. But none of those things happened either. So yeah ... we good!
