I like Paschall and I also don’t like his game at the same time. Only a rookie and should improve.

I wish I could edit my previous comment but since I can’t. I will elaborate more on Paschall. His problem in my opinion is that he needs to have the ball in his hands to be a positive asset. Not a good defender, rebounder, or shooter, so his off-ball value is minimal. He needs to improve in those areas to become a great rotation going into next year. With all that being said, he’s definitely a gem considering he was the 41st pick.

So... in our ideal world, comments would be sorted as at GSOM, correct? So the most recent ones come at the bottom, and if a comment gets replies, the parent would keep its place in order and not be sorted downwards. I’m working on a bookmarklet to patch some of these issues so I want to know the details...

It's taken an adjustment, but I like it.

I know we're used to date sorting, but I like the algorithm. Having to scroll down and look for a popular thread was tedious on GSOM. Getting to see a popular and well liked thread near the top has big benefits.

Expand full comment

The issue is there is no new comment highlighting or ability to scroll through comments. Not to mention the comment box is before the comments. With the current set up, the opposite way is better. I don't know if you can change the current set up though.

If the comment box can be put below the comments though, the GSOM set up still probably makes more sense

The thing with that is unread comments were highlighted so it was easy to carry on a conversation. If that doesn't happen it will still be hard to follow threads. I know this is a lot to deal with and don't have a real answer unless there is an easy way to see what we've read and what we haven't.

Yes, the GSOM comment layout and sorting was really nice.

Yeah. Organize in the order they were posted. If I miss a game I love reviewing the gamethread to follow along with how things unfolded. Cant do that with an algorithm based mumble jumble.

I also wish we had the ability to view or own comment profile. To see recent comments and responses. Some replies I made I have no idea where they are and I have given ip trying to locate them.

Thanks EA.

Paschall GAME HIGH 23 points was the MVP! Bridges who?

(for team usa...)

Yeah, seriously. The League is still salty AF about the Warriors, so they aren't giving our *absolute steal* of a 2nd-round rookie ANY of his due.

His highlights on YT? Like 45 seconds. Ja's and Zion's? Several minutes. Bridges? Actually didn't have his own video when I first looked but was the MVP.

Ok, voters. You are officially snubbing the Warriors deliberately.

USA 151, World 131

Paschall 20 minutes, team-high 23 points (10-13 fg), +33, net +46.

Suck it, Luka. USA!!! :-)

ERIC PASCHALL 23 PTS, leading the USA!! Finally, Rookie of the Year was settled on the court

Expand full comment

If only...EP the Bully deserved the MVP. Did he get it? Or did it go to one of the hyped-up 1st-rounders?

Expand full comment

Miles Bridges ended up getting it. It was basically a coin flip between him and Paschall (the two leaders of the second unit that dug out of a huge hole the starters created and put up a +33 as a unit).

I really respect how that trash game turned into its true form, an elaborate dunk and 3 pt contest, for the last two minutes.

I remember right after Paschall called Harden Food, Harden had a 20 point quarter. I love the swag, but pick your shots :)

I'm still partial to calling the young dubs Paschall's rascals.

OK thank you. I did not know this was tonight and is the only reason for me to watch this weekend.

The game was over at that point. Let the kids have some fun.

I watched the highlights on youtube. Even witnessing that was gut-wrenching. Maybe Smiley can play next year and he can pick guys up full court.

Watching guys step aside so someone can drive the lane for a dunk is unwatchable after the second or third time.

That was ridiculous. And they let Zion double dribble several times just so he could miss is final attempt. Really ugly down the stretch.
