great article Daniel. I know a lot of people don't like Stephen A., but I admit his effusive praise of our own #30 Stephen Curry has made me enjoy watching his takes. That's a lot of high profile announcers saying Steph is the best for him to be #7 in the MVP race.
People have the nerves to say Lakers are coasting until the playoffs. Yeah, sure. They're putting themselves in a position where they can lose 2 fluky games to end their season because they don't care that much about the regular season.
I just read Damion Lee's account of his getting Covid after being vaccinated. He is in a very small group of people that have been infected after getting the jab. His description of what it was like doesn't sound like fun and here we have an athlete in peak shape describing a very painful process that will take him time to come back from. He's probably done for the year. I feel for him.
As many of you know, the % of infected people that are left with severe lingering symptoms is quite high and unnerving. We all must protect ourselves as well as others as more information is sorted and gathered about this virus. Tough times for a lot of people all over the world.
I think we should probably root for the TWolves to win tonight.
I ran the numbers using 538's curve fit to recent WARP for draft picks and TWolves lottery order, and the weighted order of expected Warrior WARP ended up:
1
5/6 tie
4
2
3
Unfortunately 1 is basically out of the question at this point. They currently sit in 3rd, but only 1 win behind 3 other teams, with head-to-heads with Detroit and Orlando upcoming.
2-6 are fairly bunched together, but 3 is easily the worst.
(Of course, this says nothing about the specific 2021 Draft Talent distribution. If it's "5 deep" as many say, then 2,3, and 4 get more attractive.)

Warriors have quietly crept back up to the #5 defense in the league, after slipping a bit during the rough part of the schedule.
Don’t think we have enough O to make any real noise in the playoffs, but between healthy Dray-Loon-Wiggs-Oubre-JTA-Baze and now Bell we might have the toughest D in the league entering the playoffs.
Sad about DLee, tho. Sounds like he caught a bad case. :-(
I'm kinda excited to have Jordan bell back, we do need a lob threat in our lineups, I could see this opening up a lot of actions for poole. I'm jus wondering why they didn't do this a month ago

FIVE games left for ALL the marbles....a highly-successful season/playoff berth, and a scoring title for the most-unselfish GOAT shooter-scorer, to boot.
Still have a bitter taste in my mouth over all the KD fan-emigres that came into the old site who started harping Steph was ''not even the best player on the team'', as Steph stepped back from his normal torrid game to help KD find his stride. I do believe we do not have a winning record for the games Steph did not play, and KD had to carry the team; even when KD scored 40...

So your sportscribing skills have improved in the last 20 years, but did your flirt game move up from "weak" to "strong"? Is the girl from drama class still reading your DMs?
Well, the table is set for the last Dub run; hoping for a Steph feast tonight.
Im actually kinda excited to see J. Bell return honestly. We need bodies, glad it's from a familiar face

Stupid Caruso fouls intentionally even though they could have played for the stop in a 1 possession game.
Any close Portland game with less than 4mins left is DAME TIME
4:30 minutes left in the 1st quarter and the LOLakers have 6 points.

How the heck are the Pelicans leading in the 4th quarter at Philly?

Idk if I'm excited about Jordan Bell because it's his return or because I'm just glad they're signing someone else lol
