Man, not to be a bummer, but the more I sit with it the more I hate losing GP2. That dude was just something special. The *constant* effort, the *elite* steal percentage, the obscene true shooting percentage... and he never got rattled, even in the finals, he looked just entirely composed, same old Gary.
Somehow he managed to even turn it up a notch in the playoffs shooting 724/533/667 (yes, he shot a better percentage on 2pt attempts than free throws) on a 75% true shooting percentage... 3.7 steals+blocks in the playoffs. Crazy stats.
Whelp, early on in that heat game I noticed Moody driving to the paint to set up the 3 pt shot. Same play twice:
1st time: he passes to the three point line but the perimeter guy stands in his spot and doesn’t move into the passing lane just like some of Draymond’s turnovers with the band of idiots a couple years ago. And the announcers say Moody might have been out of control.
2nd time: Santos slides to where the pass has to go and gets the open three.
Playing with players that understand basketball leads to better habits and outcomes.
So I’m hoping our young guns get it doing this year and we storm into the playoffs with Steph, Klay, Wiggs, Dray, Looney, Poole, DDV, Moody, Kuminga, Big Jim. That could be a very solid 10 player rotation. But I’m also thinking, if you are the front office, you may be thinking that if those 10 can’t get it done, that you could trade mid way through next season. Some of those rooks are paid well enough for decent salary ballast, and have good future upside. That sort of rationalizes not paying a lot for vets right now, I really don’t think having more than 10 players with big money makes a lot of sense.
Kuminga, Moody, and Wise are gonna make DNHQers forget all about OPJ, Bjeli, and GP2... well maybe not GP2 😢, but I bet Dontes inferno will more than make up for a lack of Gary with his play-connector approach to the game and his legit 3 ball. Not to mention his hounddog-like defense. Medium take, but I guarantee DDV will play and average more minutes than GP2 did with us. He'll also fit very well with Poole.
The grizzlies Sixers game from the little I seen was at a much higher level then anything in the california classic lol Springer had a fucking ridiculous grab the ball out the air block on Tillman to almost save the game
Losing track. Are Rollins and Baldwin officially on the roster for 22-23? Is there another 2-way besides Quiñones? What’s happening with Weatherspoon?
Come on FO what’s the deal? To vet or not to vet? That is the question

Dude was a cheat code... gonna miss him big time.
First time I watched Chet. WTF did this guy go #2 in an allegedly weak draft lol?

OKC is gonna be funnnnnnnn — I don’t know if they’re going to be any good against actual NBA teams lol, but it won’t be boring!
Omg pistons vrs thunder in vegas is going to be crazy
If Giddey figures out his shot he's going to be a star.

I dont gettakin paolo over chet, chet is like the perfect 5 for today's game. Can shoot, dribble up the court, good d instincts and can switch
Looks like TJ Warren to the Nets. Not sure on the contract details.
Watching this game like watching the NBA Finals after watching a High School
Basketball game.
