Quarter Pole. #1 job to start season was chase wins with the easy schedule, infuse Andre and the vets OPJ & Belly, and get a sense of where we stack in the league (without Klay and all the young guys). The home and home with PHO a perfect test. This is playing out to perfection to start the year. I have to admit, moving forward, I don't give a rats ass about basketball and how the Warriors are playing in December and January. Why? Because Klay is coming back. I don't care about the score, I don't care about the rookies, Poole, Dray, or Curry. Yo, people! Klay is gonna being playing basketball, and it looks like he is going to be rocking the Jackie Moon headband. I hope he wears #77. All the shit we have all had to deal with these last 2 years, People!!!! Klay is coming back, Klay will be rising up and letting it go. The Universe will make sense again.
OT. There was a historically great game in chess championship today, but it's only cool if you follow chess. What's weird is how they organize the classical championship. Whoever wins is champ (for the last decade, Magnus Carlsen). Then there are two years of tournaments to determine who will be the challenger next time, but he's automatically in. That's like if the Bucks waited all year while 29 teams contested each other for the right to play them. Massive massive advantage for the current champ. He should have to re-qualify like everyone else.
Interpret that as: Klay can play for 6-7 minute stretches without getting completely winded. So, give him a few more weeks to get his conditioning up, and he'll be good to go. 12/20 or 12/23 is still the target, as it's been.
I like the question in there regarding whether a point guard can shoot a lot of threes. Turns out: yes. I also like "I'm sure there will be seasons when he averages more than 2.1 makes." Indeed, there have been, lol.
Let's tell Steph that Klay can't come back until he sets the record. Looks like he needs 34. If he really puts his mind to it, 3-4 games is very possible.
Seems like every year one team or another will pull something new out of there defensive batman utility defensive belts to throw at Curry and if it works, the rest to the league picks up on it. We will see what the new adjustments will hold.
And then we copy said defensive adjustments to other teams dismay once the DPOTY gets the scheme into his big brain.
Bucks picking up first DeMarcus Cousins and now Wesley Matthews, reminds me of when we were picking up creaking semiretired bodies trying to defend our Chip. Didn't work out very well for us...

Really great analysis and a lot that I hope they can work on. Most specifically the two stars for warriors needed to play better which is rare as being our problem.
But let’s be real. We all know that the reason the Dubs lost on Tuesday was that as a fan I didn’t bring my A game. I got distracted with the rest of my life, there was that whole drinking game joke in chat and I — this is hard — I even failed to watch right away a couple of times coming out of commercial. I owe everyone here and of course owe Steph a sincere apology. I can do better. I have to do better or we can’t do this. I WILL do better.

I haven't said it in a while but always feeling it: I love DNHQ! While I look forward to someday being able to use GIFs and perhaps turn hearted comments gold or something, I simultaneously believe this place to be as perfect a place to discuss sports as I've ever seen. Thank you.
I am holding out for the week Klay returns, but if no one fills in next week, I can cover us. Just know when Klay returns I will be a blubbery “I LOVE YOU MAN!” for a while. Just warning y’all early...
And am I the only one who's actually worried about Andre? "Oh it's nothing to worry about, just some knee swelling" story for 2 weeks in a row sounds incredibly fishy and like they're just not wanting to talk about something.
Both were "good to go" last time, and both looked bad... hope the time off has helped. Really need their aggressiveness and bounce. Having Andrew struggle to jump off the floor and Dray afraid to go into traffic lost quite a few battles on Tuesday.
Where you see Andre as questionable? I've only seen him as "Out".
As for Draymond, he didn't look as bad as Andrew, but he didn't look like as bouncy and aggressive as he has most of the year. Maybe it was just the Suns' defense, but given that he did mess up his back the game before and was questioning whether he'd play the day before, I have to think it effected approach toe the game.

Klay is the best. Can't fuckin wait.

Oh to be young again

So does Magnus reign for another two years?
If he wins, yes. He's up right now but it's not over.

According to Klays agent, Klay could play 25-30 mins a night right now
... 25-30 high-quality minutes in the sport of basketball at the NBA level? Please clarify, agent.
Interpret that as: Klay can play for 6-7 minute stretches without getting completely winded. So, give him a few more weeks to get his conditioning up, and he'll be good to go. 12/20 or 12/23 is still the target, as it's been.
Praying for 12/23. Got a show on 12/20 and would kill me to miss Klays return game as a live event
Probably worst loss of the season if we lose today
It would be only the fourth loss, so that’s not really saying much.
Alright no excuses on any side, this evening. We’re missing Iguodala. They’re missing Booker.
> We’re missing Iguodala
...and Klay MF Thompson!
Klay's playing! :D
Playing wut would be the question
Phoenix plays only 3 games in the next 10 days, Booker won't miss that much.

LOL. Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future....
Steph needs to set the record before Klay comes back. Can't be having those two things overshadow each other.

Almost forgot, my Music Friday contribution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzfCFFCSnLE.
(The original is great, yes. This cover is great too)
Always liked this cover better
omg, Klay shooting warmups in Chase today before the game in his full uniform

Why are they all two-pointers? C'mon Klay, let 'er rip!
Who's that guy wearing #11? New guy? Klay wears 77!
Going to break the record for long twos in game?
On two dribbles...
Dang, that's a beautiful sight

Wesley Matthews to the Bucks

In unrelated news, a new senior center has opened up operations in downtown Milwaukee due to increased demand
Now the Lakers have a place to hang out when they travel to Milwaukee.
Bucks picking up first DeMarcus Cousins and now Wesley Matthews, reminds me of when we were picking up creaking semiretired bodies trying to defend our Chip. Didn't work out very well for us...
Again Patrick, please! Only bring us news that affects our chances #GameofZones
bring the GameofZones back please!
I miss that show.

We are uniting the fan group that our very own Eric Apricot once referred to as "The Triumvirate"
All hands on deck for tonight! I don't think I'm ready for the chatter that's gonna be coming for months if the Dubs can't win this one.
Flower, vape, tincture or edibles for tonight’s game?
Dried flowers are so lovely
yeah, I'm solidly in the dried flowers crew
Suit and tie muthafucka
That's me. But also with the devil's lettuce.
I'll have to break out my Day Day Chinese new year Jersey!
Yes.
The Suns D figured out a great plan and execution against Curry last game. So we will now see the inevitable version of Curry show up today.

Any word on Dray's and/or Wiggins' backs?
nada. And neither one is on the injury report at all (so not even questionable). Both should be good to go
And am I the only one who's actually worried about Andre? "Oh it's nothing to worry about, just some knee swelling" story for 2 weeks in a row sounds incredibly fishy and like they're just not wanting to talk about something.
not at all. I've been worried since we signed him!
We really miss him, and the good teams, like Phoenix are good enough to make us pay.
Both were "good to go" last time, and both looked bad... hope the time off has helped. Really need their aggressiveness and bounce. Having Andrew struggle to jump off the floor and Dray afraid to go into traffic lost quite a few battles on Tuesday.
Andrew was questionable and a game time decision. That's not at all the same thing.
Draymond didn't look physically hampered to my eyes.
Re-read what I wrote... was talking about the Phoenix game
lol... yeah, Andrew was a game-time decision. But after warmups he told a beat reporter he was "good to go".
