Not sure if it was talked about but Steph won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbat Social Justice Award and of course everyone turned to the affordable housing project next to his backyard.
AITA for thinking that people are just using this to take potshots at him and that it’s not too much for him to ask for privacy? The “low-income housing” provided on that lot would be near $700,000 range anyways
So if Dunleavy would be the presumed successor, I wonder how he’s perceived by the players? Obviously, Myers is respected, but MDJ has the cred of being a former player and growing up around the league because of his dad.
I was never a big fan of him as a player, but that has nothing to do with his front office ability nor his perception amongst the players.
Started of as a genius and then built an empire that now controls the industry whilst taking over Franchises until they churn out shit (looking at you Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Live Action, insert your own childhood beef), all the while making it all about them.
I think Denver/Boston could be an interesting Finals but it's hard for me to see the Heat beating Denver because a team led by Bam and Butler doesn't get Jokic far away enough from the rim defensively.
Also true of a team led by LeBron and AD and really (due mainly to their approach rather than their abilities) a team led by Booker and KD. I think the Nuggets could be vulnerable to elite guard play that could take advantage of Jokic's footspeed but that matchup never really materialized. Plus Jokic damn near might be the best defensive rebounder in the league? So letting him stay near the basket is really playing to his strengths on that end (and obviously he's an all-time great on offense).
That said, Spo is incredible and maybe he'll have something up his sleeve and I'll feel dumb for underestimating the Heat again. As long as the Lakers don't win, I'm satisfied.
Dribble hand-offs with Robinson, Strus, Martin, or Vincent will pull him out. Heat do this as much as the Warriors do. They're really good at just running it back and forth until it works.
Phoenix has yet to reach final stage of interviewing candidates for its head coaching vacancy and are expected to meet with Milwaukee associate head coach Charles Lee and Golden State assistant Kenny Atkinson
Someone here was reminding us all that extending the series would be to Denver's advantage, so I'm here for it. I can live with another Celtic win before the Heat close the door on these guys.
Celtics up 88-79 thanks to a 38-23 3rd quarter run. Will the Celtics be able to avoid the sweep, or will the Heat reclaim the lead to complete the sweep?
What the heck happened? I decided to do some cleaning up around my mom's place (mopping floors and that sort of thing) and when I got back, it's Boston by 9? WTF?
You know what this game has made me think of ... what players do you dislike so much, that if they became Warriors, you would consider switching teams to root for?
For me, this game has two ... Jimmy Butler (douchebag), and Marcus Smart (Oscar winning flopper and douchebag).
I'd love Marcus Smart and Jimmy Butler on the Warriors. I love them now.
Harden or Kyrie would be tough to root for. Harden is just crappy to watch. Kyrie is an entertaining player to watch, but would be so hard to count on.
Rudy Gobert would be annoying because there's a dedicated group of people online who think he's way better than he is, and then we'd just lose whatever playoff series we're in. So it'd be annoying to talk about.
LeBron, Kyrie, CP3…pretty much anyone who grifts for fouls or is just generally excessively petty (LeBron) or petty without the cred to back it up (Paul). Westbrook as well, mainly because he’s been too stubborn to actually play defense or work on his shot in the offseason
I wouldn't abandon the Dubs if they got either Butler or Smart, but I would probably become a baseball fan for a couple years if they acquired Chris Paul. Fortunately the odds are low.
If you have no prior affiliation to any team, I recommend watching the Bmore Os. We have a plethora of young talent coming through the pipeline and are pretty damn good rn
I'm not switching from the Ws for any player, but there are guys I never want to see in a GSW uniform -- Chris Paul, James Harden, Ben Simmons, Dillon Brooks, Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James... There are probably others, but I can't think of them right now. Some of those guys could undoubtedly help the Ws right now, but it would be a bitter pill to swallow.

"Andrew Wiggins isn’t the player he once was"
Lol. What?
But no, he's right.
In Minny, Wiggs was mediocre. Then as a Warrior, he became a key cog in a championship run. :)

He wasn't a bad player, he just wasn't anywhere close to what was expected of a #3 pick. He played 15 years in the league though.
He always struck me as kind of snively
To be honest, he struck me that way too!
Lebron James, the Walt Disney of the NBA.

Bam guarding Jokic, and Jokic responding, should be fun to watch
and seeing what Jimmy does
and I'll be happy with a Nuggets chip, Jokic deserves his flowers

Done and done

Tough to see us hanging onto Kenny this offseason
Celtics beat the Heat 116-99. Celtics outscored the Heat 66-43 in the 2nd half.
So this one goes to Boston. Then they return home to play game 5. When does the pressure shift to Miami?
Probably G6 would be when it gets really cranked. But I imagine Spo and co feel it now, particularly when the Nuggets finished their business.
Someone here was reminding us all that extending the series would be to Denver's advantage, so I'm here for it. I can live with another Celtic win before the Heat close the door on these guys.
Oh, I forgot. Scott Foster is officiating tonight's game.
Celtics are rolling now. This could be an amazing turn.
Celtics’ chances might have crept up to like 25-30% with this W. A 3-1 deficit with two home games (and more talent, arguably) seems very doable.
If the Heat can’t make hella 3s they are not going to win this series…
Sure, except the Celtics suck at home.
I don’t think home-road splits are very predictive, but I mean, the Cs were 32-9 at home this season.
They are 4-5 at home this postseason, however.
In light of their 32-9 record there during the season, isn’t that just more evidence that home-road splits are not very predictive?
and you reminded us earlier that last year they were 6-6 in the playoffs at home - still a shot heat finish them off at the Garden
Awesome block…

Celtics are hitting their threes.
And Heat are miraculously not… for the first time all postseason

For whatever reason, I don't mind Lowry.
I'd love Marcus Smart and Jimmy Butler on the Warriors. I love them now.

I’m not sure if I’d abandon the team for anyone, but Cousins and Miles Bridges are probably at the top of my list.
Boston side
smart, horford, brown - in order of decreasing sports hate
miami side
lowry - barely enough know the others to sports hate - dont mind butler actually

I'm afraid I'm a Giants fan for life, for better (2010s) or worse (the other decades).
I'm not switching from the Ws for any player, but there are guys I never want to see in a GSW uniform -- Chris Paul, James Harden, Ben Simmons, Dillon Brooks, Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James... honestly wouldn't hate the idea of Westbrook as a vet min Poole replacement, as long as we picked up the right stretch big too
you better get ready - Lewhine is coming :-)
🤮
So you're saying that you want Ja Morant...
Good list.
Butler starting to get into it a bit here
celtics hot in the 3rd quarter - cmon Miami!
Hopefully this is a last gasp kinda effort...lets go, Heat!
Celtics are hitting every corner three right now
I'd rather have the Heat get stretched to another game or two, to tire them out before the finals. I much prefer Denver over the Warmth.
You make an excellent point! Okay, then, may this game go into overtime!
with you on that
