Thanks for settling my nerves, Duby. You are right and to the point with that header “need more Curry”. Hopefully, he’s on the same page, throws off the “unselfish superstar” moniker, switches to demigod mode and collapses their defense into the black hole of his unbearable gravity. It’s why we all watch anyway. Isn’t it?
Give me the serenity to accept the Celtic perimeter shots I cannot change, the courage to challenge those I can change, and the game plan to know the difference.
I'll be honest, Dub Nation, it is starting to matter *too much* to me how the Warriors do in this finals series. After that first game, my heart actually hurt all the next day (well, something hurt in the general vicinity of my heart). I have been contemplating my attitude because after all, this is just a sporting contest, not a war, and think I need to back off drastically. So I will check the score at half time and join the celebration if the Warriors win, but otherwise try to focus on other stuff today like the flowers and hummingbirds in my garden and my crazy cats. Though, GO DUBS!
What are simple adjustments the team can make to help Poole? He’s drawing the shot blocker with his drives, how to best take advantage that if he’s not going to be able to finish over or draw contact? Crash the glass behind? Pass out and relocate?
-Don't leave shooters wide open. I know the Warriors' interior defense isn't great, but it's better to give up twos than threes. The Warriors were letting White and Horford get whatever shots they wanted and it allowed them to get in rhythm.
-Watch for the Celtics' skip passes. They were using that all night long in game 1. Do what Miami did and clog up the passing lanes to prevent those passes from happening.
Nothing the Warriors can do tonight can or will atone for Game 1’s collapse. The chance for that will come in Game 3 at the absolute earliest, and that requires a win tonight to make the series 1-1. The absolute best they can do tonight as far as the series goes, is tread water. Survive, not thrive.
Anything other than a win, and they will be so underwater that coming back might not be realistic. No team has gone 0-2 after starting at home in the Finals and come back to win. Counting on the Warriors to be the first to do that would be pie-in-the-sky thinking.
So the task tonight is simple: Earn the right to atone.
(P.S: For my part, this game lost any potential hype or excitement as soon as Game 1 was lost. Will I be happy if they win tonight? Yes. But I won’t be hyped or overjoyed about it. Again, all they would be doing is treading water, surviving. Excitement would come in Game 3, assuming they make the series 1-1.)
OT: For those that like our Big Ass Train Trip videos, the 4th episode is now posted. This one is from New York to New Orleans, going through NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS to LA. There was a lot of beautiful scenery rolling through the Deep South; more than we expected. https://youtu.be/LU1nQPpC9LM (It’s about 8:30 long.)
Absolutely collapsed in the fourth quarter. Other commentators said the Dubs looked tired, and maybe there was too much of a layoff. Or they got overconfident with the 15 point lead. Regardless, Boston showed resilience and if the Dubs want to be champions again they'll have to do better.
It was such a mess of a 4th quarter… I’m really expecting the team to come out with a lot of fire today, be much tighter in rotations, and be less predictable.
Klay is trying too hard and seems .... off.

The Warriors serenity prayer for game 2
Lord Scottie (Pippin),
Give me the serenity to accept the Celtic perimeter shots I cannot change, the courage to challenge those I can change, and the game plan to know the difference.
In other words:
No dumb fouls
Challenge shooters
Don't screw up the defense chasing people around.
We almost lost game 1 against Memphis, if Ja makes that layup. This time luck was on Boston’s side. It happens in some games.

> The Warriors had a plus 33.6 net rating with Looney and Green on the floor together over 16 minutes
I think there could be something to the idea in this article.

Keys for tonight:

Tonight is all about one thing:
“Earn the right to atone.”

Felt like game 1 was over a week ago. LETSSS GOOO DUBSSS!!!!
