"D’Lo is now OUT. Regarding the bruise, I watched him get attention from team trainers during the Cleveland game and he kept massaging his thigh. Jacob Evans will start in D’Lo’s place."

I'll be sick if the Warriors make that Knicks trade I saw floating around for Russell lol. The Knicks putting the Dallas pick in there? I want the pick to be for the team that Russell plays for, so I know it will be a good pick.

Lol at teams that think we would take quantity over quality.

Oh the Rockets...

"“They’re done with Capela,” one Western Conference executive told CNBC, requesting that his name remain anonymous.

According to league sources who spoke to CNBC, Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta is seeking to shed additional salary off the team’s nearly $140 million payroll hoping to avoid a luxury tax."

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/03/nba-trade-deadline-looms-a-look-at-roster-changes-being-discussed.html

"Some league executives are under the belief that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, who sparked the NBA-China rift last October, is under pressure from Fertitta to decrease salary while at the same time staying competitive as the team currently sitting in the fifth seed in the West.

“He’s got a new owner now. This isn’t the old days with Leslie Alexander; he’s with Fertitta now, who counts every penny. It’s a new world there,” said the executive."

I'm curious as to why. Financial reasons, or do they not like Capela? When the Rockets were surging and everyone was crediting Harden earlier this season, I felt like a very underdiscussed reason was Capela's play when he was putting up 20 rebound games almost nightly.

Or maybe he has lingering injury issues.

He has been hurt this year, and is almost certainly getting overpaid. Sounds like the new owner wants to shave some tax dollars off.

He also just isn't a great fit as your starting Center. He's got a lot of holes in his game where'd you would like to see a strength (like rim protection)

Capela for CP3? :)

I don't even consider a trade for Wiggins unless the Warriors are getting back multiple picks. Like, at minimum MIN's 1st and a few 2nds.

Yeah, that would be an insanely bad trade otherwise.

Also, from Anthony Slater twitter, DLo just showed up on the injury report for tonight's game:

D’Angelo Russell listed as questionable tonight at Wizards with right quad contusion

Very suspicious. Perhaps on the DL until noon Feb 6?

Other than today, we just have one more game (against his old team, the Nyets) on Wednesday prior to the deadline

GR3 is shooting ~40% from 3pt line on 3.5%. He can be poor man's 3&D.

I am hoping (or more like dreaming) that Andre comes back on minimim next year. With all the rest this year, he will be Dre from couple of years ago.

I think the Warriors are going to try as hard as they can to trade GR3 and Burks to get under the tax threshold, unless it can be done with only trading one of them, I'm not really sure how the details work out.

I'm a GR3 fan but I'm not sure he'll be on the team next week.

I thought trading both for just picks will still not be enough.

My thought: the Warriors keep Russell and don’t entertain a trade for Wiggins.

But really I want to say thank you for making my day with the article and awesome writing. Not sure why — but nothing gives me more joy than calling the Rockets fraudulent. And I agree...it did not make sense for Durant to stop and clap for the ball instead of moving up the floor.

Agreed re: Wiggins. Excellent talent but without a game that fits a team concept. Never gonna be a decent shooter and horrible on D.

Thanks for the kind feedback!

We are experimenting with the publish times on these. I'm thinking early mornings (say for or 6 AM) so the East Coasters can see it before work. Thoughts anyone?

Good- GSW should definitely be playing hardball, as DLo could be quite useful to us.

They need any wing help they can get.

But I'm guessing a lot of the "persistent" part has a lot to do with the Rockets trying to trade Capela - which is probably not a great draw for any potential trade partners.
