WGBC standings update:

Warriors 6.5 total points (15th overall - 7th in West )

19 home win points (T-5 overall - T-3 in West) (0 home losses, of course)

19 overall points at home (4th, T-2nd in West)

10.5 road win points (T-10, 6th in West)

-23.5 road loss points (T-last)

-12.5 total road points (T-24, T-11 in West)

You don't need WGBC to know that a loss today would be really, really bad, but it would be -12 points (and get worse with every Pacers loss: -1.5 per loss), and drop us to around 19th. A win would only be +1 (and +1 for every Pacers win going forward).

OT: I’m considering switching from YouTubeTV, since I really only have YouTube TV for Warriors games at this point. What’s the best alternate legal setup people have? Paramount+NBC sports Bay Area?

Peacock has the NBC Sports Bay Area add-on. It should cost $10.99 (for Peacock premium) + $17.95 (the add-on), so about $29/month?

(If you have Walmart+ you might be able to get Peacock premium for free, but I'm not sure how that works with the add-on. Apparently the premium part is also free if you have Gigabit internet from Xfinity?)

I haven't tried the add-on yet, but if I was, I would see if there's a Black Friday deal coming up, although since the Bay Area Sports add-in is relatively new, they might now have one. Peacock premium was only $1.66/month for a year last year, though.

Edit: ESPN games might also be on NBC Sports Bay Area [h/t DFiB]

https://www.espn.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/gs/golden-state-warriors has the regular season tv broadcasts listed per game (not sure if the NBA TV ones are also on NBC Bay Area)

Yeah, I saw that espn listing, but they sometimes/often have local broadcast too… maybe will have to find the NBC SBA broadcast listing.

We'll be switching to LP. Hopefully it's discounted in January.

SO got what's left of the season for F1TV for F1.

I don't know what we are doing for ESPN/ABC. I still question the legalities of them taking away an OTA broadcast station.

Not sure what we will do about football since that's still available on YTTV.

But if on LP, you can’t watch local games, right?

I can because I'm not local to the Bay Area.

Buddy update:

The eye test says that Buddy is having a pretty bad start, but I checked his stats.

He's shooting .357 on 3s, TS% of .57, on 9.1 attempts per 36 (attempts are ~10% down from last season).

That's pretty close to a league average shooter (slightly below average TS% for shooting guards, per Statmuse).

I don't think the eye test lies in this case ... Buddy's been a bad shooter when the games have been on the line.

But! If, when you're slumping, you're still canning shots at slightly less than league average, that's a pretty decent sign.

TL;DR version: I'm hopeful Buddy can figure things out and get back to a more normal shooting percentage.

The annual Buddy Shooting Slump(TM) happening early while most of the team is also struggling and the schedule is brutal might be blessing in disguise

Just a reminder to myself to not get my hopes up too high for tonight - we are 0-6 against the pacers at Chase - only question is which rando is going to get their career high against us tonight! :-(

I'm thinking they'll be lucky to be 11-10 or 10-11 by the end of the month, but hopefully things lighten up after that, so I'm prepared for a stretch of .500
