The Warriors little thorn on their side TJ McConnell with 9 steals in the first half tonight. Guess he's a pest for everyone.

3D, I'm not so sure Paschall is a lock for next season. I can see him being easily inserted into a trade to raise the over all talent level of the team. We could really use a bigger PF with more offensive and rebounding talent. It would make our matchups stronger. Getting another big frontcourt player like Collins would be a huge shot in the arm for us.

For me, the hype of Mulder is just that. What is of more interest is whether Poole can translate his success in the gleague to the NBA game. He has the potential of being a prolific scorer and sparkplug for the bench, something that Mulder does not do in his role. This could elevate the team into that coveted 4th seed that Curry wants so bady. He seems to be the only hope from the bench that can push this unit forward. The rest are more durable bodies who could focus on defense and bring that lockdown presence. Baze is capable but I don't see him as a prolific scorer. DLee brings energy but I like his spot up 3 ball best. I can't wait to see if the Warriors will install Jessup into the bench next season. The guy seems to be the best prospect they have now. I can't see Wanamaker on the team next season so let's see what Nico's got and whether he and Poole will make a difference. It's a long shot but with Green and Oubre playing more optimally, and more firepower from the bench, I'm hoping that we can rise and solidify our place in the playoffs. But, still have my eyes on next season with Klay back.

If the standing remain this tight into the back half, this game will have a lot of weight - Winner gets the tiebreaker between the teams! Luckily we own the tiebreaker with the Spurs as well.

This year, what is the advantage of reaching 4th seed vs say 5th seed? Is the thought that by the time Playoffs start, Chase center would be allowed to have X number of fans and hence home court advantage will be a real thing (assuming it is a real thing during normal years)?

It does help Steph's MVP chances.

Given Steph's comments, I don't think Dubs, atleast players, are trying to thread the needle to keep the draft pick - and I am all good with that

Great write up. Thank you.

RE: Wiseman. The main problem /might/ be fouling, but it seems like there's LOTS of room for growth in other important areas -- setting picks, knowing where to be, catching the ball... I'm not casting aspersions. The guy is effectively a very talented high schooler, and he seems to have a good attitude and work ethic. But after he stops fouling so much, he's got a lot to figure out.

Any guesses on who's going to start the 2nd qtr? Is this Mulder's big moment?

Excellent preview by this new guy!

One question about this:

“So first: the sure things. Paschall, Bazemore, and Wiseman all hold rock solid positions in the rotation. These are the players that are part of the Warriors plans for next season, Wiseman in particular; but they’ve also got a huge band of unknown development wrapped around them.”

Has the team said Bazemore is part of the plans for next season? He’s on a 1-year deal, so *could* be a part of next year’s team, but if a better option comes along in the off-season, it seems like it would be pretty easy to let him walk, especially if they keep Wiggins and Oubre (along with Klay’s return) and Lee signed through next season.

I mean, if he wants to keep playing for another 1-year minimum deal, that’s cool, but I’m not sure he’s really “in their plans”.
