The Golden State Warriors finally get to do things as a team, although two of their players still remain out, as originally announced last Tuesday by general manager Bob Myers:
It’s fair to speculate who those two might be. After all, the Warriors themselves have not posted any clips or pictures of Draymond Green or James Wiseman (to name perhaps the two most popular players, not to mention a bevy of role players — although you could argue that with AAU culture as big as it is, Nico Mannion might actually be the most popular out of all of the ones who haven’t been shown).
But I think we’re at a point in this pandemic where it’s time to put aside the need to gossip and just hope that whomever tested positive is getting better and that there are no longer-term respiratory issues.
It’s time for me to log on now to the Zoom (Kerr at 130p PST every day, plus 2-3 other players afterwards), so I’ll leave it at that. I’ll post my notes later on here but mostly on our Discord.
I should also say that we media are allowed to get one-on-ones. If you’re a subscriber here, feel free to comment on who you want us to interview, why, and some questions for them, to get our “community” started here for 2020-21. Thanks!
Disappointing news on Wiseman. That was literally the one dude (well outside of those on an exhibition deal) that couldn't afford to miss even one day of practice time.
Asked about his small-sample-size 30% 3PP, Mulder reiterated his role is to “knock down shots,” but then pointed out that “I didn't think it was that good. I struggled in the Laker game, the Clipper game.”
Per Discord research: Mulder went 0/5 vs LAL and 0/7 vs LAC. He remembers
Mulder on contract: "I don't think my attitude should change, if I were guaranteed (or not)...hard worker every day," something he's tried to prove everywhere, "good days add up"
Kerr on juggling Covid issues: "It's just next man up. It's just the nature of this season... we're lucky to be playing basketball...any difficulties in the season pale in comparison to what's happening in the world."
Would love to hear you guys chat with Wiseman. Want to know how he, as a rook, is thinking about competing for the starting spot. It's not guaranteed, so would be cool to see how he's learning from the other bigs and managing competing against them for minutes, but also making sure he's in it for the best results for the team. Also would love to ask him if he's noticing anything different in practice regarding his vision of open shooters (ie, is he noticing more movement, is he slowing down the game to see, is he looking for specific players, etc).
Good to be back! How are you guys doing? Hope everything is well! Lets Go Warriors

As someone who doesn't use Discord, I hope that stuff gets posted here.....

Nico on the Warriors' defensive philosophies: "the rotations I understood pretty well', asked Steph about iso offense.
Even for warmup drills, Mannion said, "I want everything I do to be good...not look like a rookie"
Draymond did not practice either but Kerr made a point to say he's not worried.
Wiseman did not practice today so he's pretty much one of the two positives.

Steph Nico maybe Mulder today are the 2-3 players
