Are their any real threats in the East outside of Bos & Mil? I like Cleveland, but they need another year or two to grow. Outside of these, I think the East is a big muddled mess of good/okay teams. We benefited last year by having home court and going up against a team that had been bloodied getting to the Finals. Although it's highly likely that Bos & Mil beat each other up again in the ECF, I think both will have an easier run through the playoffs. And it is very likely that the East will hold the home court this year.

Out West we have Pho, Den, Mem, LAC, GSW with the Pelicans looking pretty scary. The path to the finals in the West looks a little tougher this year, though none of these teams seems nearly as threatening as Bos or Mil. It's tough to gauge where we are in the league right now, as it is the Warrior's way to be playoff ready the night before the playoffs begin. What we do know is that a title this year won't come as easy as last year's and that the team 'today' won't get there. This soup is gonna need more salt. But we have several months to find it.

Since he’s played just a handful of games beyond a college season, it’s still appropriate to look Wiseman’s SCW highlights through the “prospect” lens, and there’s still a lot there to like. Loved the aggression/bravado that we haven’t seen much of; maybe the reps are paying off and he’s comfortable playing without worrying about screwing up.

His combination of size, length and athleticism looks especially enticing we think about guys like Wemby and Chet becoming prominent players in the league. I’m not giving up on him.

Talk about weird scheduling quirks.

The Utah Jazz have played 5 more games than the Sacramento Kings (25 games to 20). In a month and a half!

SC Warriors...

James Wiseman got it going and Trevion Williams was just magical in the 2nd half going against Sacramento 2-way Neemias Queta. Queta, who apparently doesn't have an active backup on the Stockton Kings roster, was showing extreme fatigue (like, "take me out for a blow, coach") during the second half in Friday's game after embarrassing Wiseman in the previous Monday's matchup.

Trevion actually took a few of JW's rotation minutes as he led the comeback in the third quarter with dazzling passes and aggressive rebounding. He even dropped in a three. His defense is making progress too.

JW had Jordan Poole-esque fun in the second half, which is something of a first to my eyes.

The two teams meet for the third time this week Saturday (tonight as I write this). Maybe the SeaDubs could lend Jayce Johnson to the baby Kings for some depth lol. Jayce has gotten zero run since the Wiseman assignment to the G-league and he could play a little physical defense against Wiseman when Queta has to sit.

Anyone have a notion of why Kuminga only played 10 minutes this game? I’m watching the game now and his 10 minutes looked pretty solid to me. He took a couple hits and almost twisted his ankle on that fall in the first quarter, so I’m hoping they’re just preserving him for tomorrow/wanted to give JMG a bit more run to get him in rhythm.

I fell asleep at 9 min mark. Glad that I didn't check the final score before watching remaining 9 mins. Steph and Klay almost gave the game away with quick 3s that didn't fall (they are allowed that). But last couple of mins' D and Dray 3 sealed it.

Win is a Win!! There is still hope, right? 🙂

I’m really wondering about Poole’s toughness considering his performances at Chase against less than elite teams vs some of our rougher road losses. Celtics ( if full strength ) might provide some clarity.

Have you noticed Dray, in a full fast break, stopping to help Vucevic stand up after a fall? That's my hero for tonight. And that punch? Forgiven and forgotten. After all, Poole gets whacked 10 times per game on avg :D he will have forgotten fully by now.

The team seems to be taking too many threes, even when they can drive to the basket.

A win is a win is a win. Felt that Wiggs has become too happy just hitting 3's - even when the lane is open.

What is with this level of fouling - cant shake off the feeling that this is a ref thing!!

Oh god - this year is going to be waaaay more interesting as our 4th quarter finishing is coming under a lot of pressure!!

I'm hoping they can start finding more touches for Wiggs. They run a play for him here and there but I think he has to get more than 10 attempts, and they could utilize him a bit more in crunch time. Think that will help to keep him engaged in all aspects of the game.

Had a look at the HOU-PHX boxscore. Suns shot 53% from the field and 46% from 3 and still lost. Big difference was free throws - Houston shot 43! and made 34 while Suns were 14-19. I think if we can keep Houston off the line we should win easily.

Klay let the Dubs tonight with 37 minutes played, so I'm guessing he'll sit out tomorrow night. Next was Dray with 36, but Steph (33 mins) and Wiggs (30 mins) should be good to go. JP only needed 23 minutes to put up 30 points, so he'll be able to play a lot more minutes tomorrow, particularly if Klay is out.
