Naz Reid has 8 starts this season. Timberwolves are 6-2 in those games. Naz's net rating in those starts? 13.7 -- That leads the NBA among starting centers (small sample size, obviously..)

Yeah, I think Minnesota's definitely better without KAT and Gobert.

The Hawks are 26-26, 17-17 against the East, 9-9 against the West, 8th of 15 East teams, have scored 6,057 points and have allowed 6,057 points.

Now THAT is the definition of a .500 basketball team.

I keep seeing these proposals to trade for a random wing (Caruso, Thybulle below).

While I respect the idea of improving via trade, I just can't see adding one more rotation-level (but not terrific) wing is going to put us over the hump.

Frankly I don't see any single player we reasonably could get that will change our chances for winning a chip significantly. There are too many weaknesses right now to patch with one trade.

You can make a better argument for trading for a reserve big (clearly an area of need), but even that moves the needle what ... at most a few percent?

The reality is that unless the current team improves fairly significantly in a number of areas, we're probably a second round out in the playoffs.

So, I think the best course is to just keep who we've got, work on the flaws, and cross our fingers.

OK, got my bball rabid Warrior Fan attack out of my system tonight, I am outta here. One last thought, remember, whatever happens in Denver tonight, is sure to be eclipsed by the NBA announcement of the All Star Reserves...ergo, Lightyears, Baby, Beat the Nuggets....

Random thought about whoever the dubs trade for, but I would insist that it is a vet who has made it to the playoffs and will do anything to win their first chip.

Our mix of players are vets who have done it all and young guys just trying to prove they belong in the league other than Wiggins who is super chill.

Having a player or two on the roster who have one last mountain to climb, a championship, is paramount for the team to play with an edge.

All the championship years have had a new addition who fit this mold.

What would we have to give up for Pacer’s Bogdanovich? Seems plug and play to me with his IQ and 3 ball.

SEGABABA; the Dubs have had 10 so far (5-5) until tonight. Klay always rests. Steph and Dray often rest. They pretty much feel like scheduled losses.

Where are the scheduled wins?! Other teams must play the warriors on their SEGABABA’s. Do they never load manage? Or are the dubs just unlucky?

The one thing that is setting up as a pattern is our 3rd Q play. We are relaxing after the half and not putting teams away. The Wolves turned the ball over and missed a ton of 3s and FTs in that frame and we just did not focus on winning. There have been so many wasted 3rd Qs due to lack of discipline/execution and then we’re harried going into the 4th and promptly lose our poise.

After yet another sleepless night following a shitty loss AND I have to disagree with Kerrs post-game comments that it was not fatigue that led to the poor 4th and overtime performance.

1. Curry was brought in with 9 minutes to go in the 4th, at least 2 minutes earlier than usual. He clearly looked out of sorts and the only way I can comprehend that is fatigue! Maybe he partied too hard ala hardin!

2. The warriors brain was working faster than their hands and feet. The turnovers in the 4th quarter correlate very well with this. Steph throwing away the ball in his own court with that horizontal pass is an example. Maybe this can be fixed by consciously slowing down the speed of play in clutch time.

3. Jordan poole handling the ball in clutch time should not be allowed, but steph was bad last night, so this leads to wiggins or draymond needing to handle - dray is fine, but wiggins not so much. And back to point #2, Dray was taking decisions faster than other warriors bodies could react to!

4. Klay has been making many poolesque errors at critical times of the game. Taking a contested 3 very early in the shot clock, throwing the ball away, etc.. Seems like his decision making becomes an issue, again I think it is the extended minutes

5. Our overtime record is 2-15 under Kerr - that is unbelievable and I cant believe this is not because of fatigue. We are not developing players to create a deep enough bench! This year has been a developmental disaster by the coaching staff

LETS play the young guys MORE

It’s been what, 2.5 years since Klay hurt his Achilles and 3.5 since his knee?

How long is he going to continue to sit out B2B’s? I don’t want him getting hurt obviously, but should he be starting if he can’t play now that every win is important?

Reading today’s comments there is a lot of dissatisfaction and frustration. DNHQ may be unreadable next year if the team doesn’t get anywhere in the playoffs.

Dubs management has said they will sustain the massive payroll only if the team is still able to go deep in the playoffs. What is deep? Dunno, maybe WCF?

Otherwise, what? The only way to reduce payroll is to shed players. What is this team if they trade away one or two of Klay, Dray, Poole, or Wiggins? I assume Steph can’t be traded, but the other guys? These plus Wiseman make up most of the payroll. Things will get bumpy.

I’d prefer a deep playoff run and massive payroll next year. Puppies and rainbows for everyone!

I really really hope the FO does not sell low on Wiseman and Moody and simply trust their developmental staff come offseason to get these two regular rotation ready. Its a sellers market right now if there is a very real possibility that the likes of Jarred Vanderbilt, malik beasley, and Eric Gordon will net a first round pick for each of their respective picks. We just gotta trust the process

Anthony Slater

@anthonyVslater

"Klay Thompson is out tonight in Denver on the second night of a back-to-back. Warriors currently listing Steph Curry (left shoulder soreness) and Draymond Green (right foot soreness) as questionable. Both played heavy minutes vs Wolves last night."

Dray and Steph a game time decision pretty much. Think they give it a go with Wiggs. Klay and Andre out.
