Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Damian Lillard, James Harden, and Kawhi Leonard have either failed to make it to the playoffs or have been eliminated in the 1st round. Could Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler be next? I hope not.

I don’t know if I am going to stomach watching tomorrow - a game that might be the chefs last playoff game and that too being ended by the rockets ! Maybe I will catch the recording if they win!

Half of the US Men's Olympic team is already out. Only Steph (hanging by a thread), Ant, Haliburton, and the three Celtics remain.

Ha, it’s the bunch that didn’t play much. It’s partly the change of generations but maybe there’s a little extra wear and tear too

I think it's a pretty telling sign that guys in their mid 30's should not be playing 35+ minutes a game in the regular season and then expect to have energy for the playoffs playing 40 minutes a game.

Would you guys be mad if Steph and JB and Draymond were benched at the end of the 3Q when the team is down 30?

Expand full comment
Captain Jack's avatar

What about up 30?

Expand full comment
cpt nemo's avatar

Maybe better if they get benched if we are down by 20 early in the game - let the hustle players at least play hard

TwoLockedInTest's avatar

nope. The game would be out of reach, and I'd be fine with getting the young players some playoff experience (even if just garbage time).

There’s an old saying that there’s no such thing as momentum in the playoffs. Because of adjustments, every game is its own thing. So I’m really praying that that’s true because welp

Praying for the same thing. Tomorrow is our day!

We have two legendary playoff closers and one playoff defensive closer.

I hope adrenalin and desperation overrides fatigue and frustration.

I just hope that at the end of the game, we score at least 1 more point than they do. Preferably in regulation

ananthd's avatar

I just hope we turn the ball over only 10 or so times. If we do that we win. I won't mind a more deliberate pace if it means less turnovers.

Dray put in 21 in G7 of The Finals back in 2016

Edit: in the first half

Actually 32 points, with 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Unfortuately, Dubs finished with 89 points and Dray outscored Steph (17) and Klay (14) combined.

Yes, but will the rest of the guys (Podz, Moody, Hield, etc.) will be able to step up? The momentum is on Houston's side right now, and their zone defense has been killer in this series.

This is where playoff risers and chokers are made.

We shall see.

It's hard to let those guys do what they do best if we can't secure the ball and get stops. I'm curious to see how our others step up tomorrow in that regard in a true WIN OR GO HOME game.

bench has to score, at least at season averages or we are in deep trouble.

All I'm asking for is we don't go out like the Clippers. Even if it is the end I don't mind as long as it's a battle. I don't think I can stomach 3 blowouts in a row in Houston

Clippers played well in the series. But the Denver altitude was too much for them in the end.

I mean, maybe? We have no idea if that was a deciding factor. I doubt they use it as an excuse.

Denver playing it's starters with 3:30 to go and a 23 point lead.

Holy frijoles.

They could just take a 24 second call each time down the court and win.
