Hayes was probably the biggest tank commander in the league at the guard spot since he was drafted. He and Wise were quite the combo. If SA is still trying to be the worst they should pick him up.

Considering that the point of dumping CoJo was to save money I tend to doubt it. The buyout market is like the flea market: it sounds good initially, like hey stuff for sale for cheap? But then you get there and there’s a big bin of busted fidget spinners and you ask yourself why you even bothered.

To be fair, can’t call it a purely money move when he was just flat out outplayed by LQ. Also no guarantee they don’t end up snagging someone off of buyouts still. I’d be surprised if they did though, almost certainly going to be what Beli said: sign LQ in 2 weeks, snag somebody at the very end of the season for spot 15.
By far the best development of the day is that our players who might have been seen as trade bait can now relax, not look over their shoulder, know the team wants them, and get to business
So happy and excited that nothing major happened to our roster. I was all for getting rid of wiggins a month back, but now , hopefully he is slowly rounding into both form and consistency. Very happy we did not lose any of our YGs. Sad to see CoJo leave - seemed like an all around nice guy and fun guy on the bench.
Just hope Wiggs isn't too bummed by the departure of his longtime bestie. Here's hoping the relief of not being traded himself outweighs any sadness about CoJo shipping off to Indy.

Can players be traded mid-game? And if they get traded to the opponent, can they just go in the locker room and suit up for the other team?
Players have to pass a physical with the new team, so probably can't start the 2nd half on the other team...
Could they even start the second half of their now-former team?
Trades have to be approved by the league, too, I assume ... even small ones like this.

Yeah CoJo’s case was headed toward a 10-2 jury, then LQ did his thing and the jury got all unanimous about it

Predicting a stat line of 7 points on 3-11 shooting, 2 rebounds, 1 assist for Wiggins tonight now that the trade deadline has passed.
