<lays down the path that Warriors will take to get to WCF>
"See how easy it is? To conflate what’s possible with what’s likely. To apply past greatness in current paradigms. To rationalize a better existence for these Warriors."
Yup MTII, that's most of us - shuttling back and forth between optimism based on the past and pessimism based on the present.
There is always recency bias in sports fandom. Had we not lost the Pels game the way we did, we all be riding high. Now it feels like doom and just maybe the inevitable end of the dynasty.
I am really nervous about the Kings coming out hot and we get in a deep hole as the crowd gets louder and our rookies wilt under the playoff pressure. I can see Murray and Fox lighting us up as we turn the ball over with frustrating nonchalant passes…
Ok, whew. Just warming up my playoff pessimism. That feels better…
All those games and big leads they blew early in the year really shows how important each game is.
I won’t be surprised if they win or lose vs Sac.
Two do or die games. If they somehow pull off 2 wins OKC is definitely beatable, but I don’t think they are getting the chance. I know I am pessimistic, but for some reason I always think they will beat Sac but have a really bad feeling this time even with them missing 2 key guys. I hope Payton is playing but he is always hurt, sick or something.
I feel like Podz is going to have a nice breakout scoring the ball next season. He looks pretty slow and unassuming but he really knows how to get to his spots pretty comfortably. Just has to work on his shot making this offseason.
Question from neophyte on TJ D Atoll. Seems like TJ D is guarding more out near the three-point line and less under the basket than before. This seems to leave the basket unguarded unless Podz or someone runs under there.
Is this intentional? If so, what is the advantage? Seems like TJ D is doing less of what he does well.
So Mulder is with us for the post season here at DNHQ? Might be a good luck charm. 😆
Don't need much more motivation than, "Do it for Deki!"

Dray postgame today: (paraphrasing) "It will come down to who wants it more. Who gets the 50-50 ball. Who makes the plays"
Tuesday 7:30 pm PST: Dray has 4 TOVs. And so does Steph.
If we lose (50/50 chance), it will be due to self inflicted wounds:
- TOVs
- Unnecessary fouls (I expect amped up Physicality leading to unnecessary fouls from us)
- Sabonis getting into Dray's head and getting him ejected.
- Not recovering to 3 pt shooters.
Why we will win: Because we got the Chef, Dray's master class on Sabonis and Wiggs D on Fox, Klay seems to be in rhythm.
I already have butterflies 😀.

Okay, just 18 more wins ;-)
For the east 1st round matchup, Bucks vs. Pacers and Knicks vs. 76ers/Heat are going to be interesting matchups.
Wiseman double double tonight with 17 boards and 21 points. He played 40 minutes.
Dalano Blanton sets a new NBA futility record - 0/15 from three today for the Blazers against the Kings.

Knicks got the 2 seed. Yowsers.

Klay stole the FT% crown from Steph on the last day...lol
Potential for this postseason to be a speeded up version of last postseason: must win game in Sacramento followed possibly by a must win game in LA.
Anyone know if GPII will be available on Tuesday? I feel like watching him defend Fox.
