No Whiteside and Forrest for the Jazz, and no Davis and Lebron for the Lakers tonight.

Three of Booker's worst 18 games by TS% have been against the Warriors (he didn't play in their other meeting).

Aside from the understandable ‘Wiggins was shitty and should be put out on an ice floe’ type of comment, I would really like to understand why his play varies so much. Why he seems so hot and cold? What happened in/after the ASG? Does he know what he is doing? Do coaches know why he plays this way? Can this be understood by comparison to other players who have shown similar traits? So curious because I admire his athleticism and enjoy watching his defense.

A more pessimistic view is that the Suns missed a lot of very makeable shots this game and we STILL didn't quite come away with the W.

I don't feel too bad about this loss but I kind of wish the team had put together this level of execution and effort against a worse team to earn an actual W. Then again, the clanked layups and boneheaded turnovers might have spelled doom anyway.

Looking ahead to the playoffs, the one team I'm most scared about is the Warriors. Incredible tendency to defeat themselves in key moments, this team has. Otherwise, Memphis looks scary (if they look as good in the playoffs as they do against us, they're champs), Dallas is high-variance enough to be worrisome, and Phoenix is legit good. Denver, it looks like Murray won't be back in time up contribute or they would be up there. I no longer believe in Utah or the Clippers, and everyone else is just a practice round for their playoff opponents.

We were at Chase last night and the energy was incredible, I think Dubs fans were feeling desperate to see things turn around starting with the Suns, the Refs and Klay’s insistence on volume shooting had their fingerprints all over this loss

"All I wanted for my 11th birthday was to watch Steph Curry play. Thanks, Marcus Smart."

This is really sad. TS% <.540 and USG% >28% (min 15 games):

Paul George (.534, 34.2%)

Bradley Beal (.539, 30.8%)

Julius Randle (.509, 28.7%)

Dillon Brooks (.515, 28.5%)

Klay Thompson (.527, 28.7%)

A who's who of underperforming (and Dillon Brooks). Some other names who just missed: Lillard, Fox, and Lamelo are a little too efficient. Reggie Jackson, Cade Cunningham, RJ Barrett, Westbrook, Dejounte Murray, Jordan Clarkson all didn't quite have the usage.

Update on Steph. Sounds like he's still 1-2 weeks away at least

Yesterday I posited that, based on how the different chapters of the season have played out, the Warriors need 3 of their 4 max guys to be healthy and play well to have a chance at a championship. Assuming Curry will be back and play well, that means that two of Dray, Klay and Wiggins.

After listening to this post-game clip, I’m not at all worried about Draymond https://twitter.com/anthonyvslater/status/1509401438199291904?s=21

Now we need to get Klay or Wiggins to play well.

Could explain why he wasn't in at the end for defense

I didn't realize it until now, but Jordan Poole's 38 points last night ties his career high, which he got from last season against the Pelicans on 5/14/21.

> Steve Kerr on Jordan Poole appearing to be hurt: "He's got a little flare for the dramatic. When he gets hurt, the whole world knows he got hurt. So yeah, he banged his wrist.. I saw him [holding his wrist] and then he made like three threes... so I figured the wrist was fine."

Happy 21st Birthday James Wiseman!

For the impatient among us: maybe worth noting that Damian Jones blossoming these days … at almost 27.

Wonderful game from Poole, but how does Kerr get him as many minutes and looks with Steph on the active list? Not to mention cutting down on Klay's shot volume.
