Pretty impressed with Minnesota's improvement and effort. Very physical team. I think this win was even better than it might look on paper. KAT's postgame comments were pretty impressive to me too - very focused and smart. GS is is going to need Wiseman to get healthy and both he and Kuminga to progress quickly to match up over the next couple of seasons. The future of the West in the next few years is going to have a lot more Memphis and Minnesota in it - they are coming for Denver, Utah, Dallas, LA, and LA.
Oh man, I just realize that we’re on track for a duel Splash Bros - CP3 & Booker, in the WCF, and a baroque Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack comes to my mind.
I thoroughly enjoyed this whole game. Yes the first half was competitive, rough even. Towns was big strong and feisty and hard to defend. It seemed he could score at will, but so could we! The coaching staff game planned a sturdy 3rd quarter defense and the shooting never faltered. 38 points in Q3! Heck yea! This was our best, most complete team shooting game of the season by a wide margin. But the game ball goes to Looney once again. Talk about giving it up for the team! Despite the bogus calls against him he made things just hard enough for Towns.
Two rock solid high quality games in a row against good opponents. Dubs basketball is ON! Tonight’s savage team 3 point shooting over 50% was the clarion call to the death riders driving the snarling biting frothing timberwolves until the dogs ran in confusion off the cliff of their own failure. The riders just sat there, steam slowly rising off their backs, looking down at the broken twisted bodies of their fallen foes. Ready to turn away to face the next inevitable enemy, and to prepare for the next inevitable moment of glory.
Congrats to the Wolves. They fight. They bite. It took an excellent Dub team performance to tame them. Now what they have to do is to cheat on the weather forecast to attract some good free agent.
Ernie Johnson on TNT after a Holocaust memorial segment just recommended everyone read Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search For Meaning." That is some extremely next-level sports TV. Deep props. I was in semi-cringe throughout the segment because it's easy to say something awkward on live TV, but that's very legit. Shaq had a meaningful memory to share, a visit to a concentration camp; but then added "To all my Jewish friends" and in broken Hebrew: "Hello, how are you, happy New Year" which was one of those Shaq moments... shades of his Yao Ming offense. Here I'm personally not offended, just.... sighhhh. Go read Ernie's recommendation, Shaq.
Dear Mr. Wiggins, do you remember last September, when you didn’t want to get your vaccine? How right were we Dub fans to be mad at you? Look, you could be spending your time training with Santa Cruz, and you’re an ALL STAR instead.

Alright, all fears of Curry being over the hill and Klay being permanently diminished by injury are now gone for me.
Even Poole's "benching" funk is gone.
What a great time to be a fan.
Hey everyone, Draymond’s back!!!!…is still recovering.

And congrats for Dray on his new gig.
That Kuminga kid looks like a keeper. He's looking like everything I wanted Anthony Randolph to turn into.
Steph needs 59 points to jump Bernard King for 50th all-time in NBA scoring.
2 years from now who do you start
1. Curry still in top 5 mvp form
2. Klay gets back to elite 2 way player
3. Draymond still playing top 3 dpoy ball
4. Wiseman turns into a top 3 big man
5. Poole playing all star caliper ball
6. Kuminga clearly has cemented himself as a future face of the league
Honorable mention
7. Wiggins after winning 2 titles in a row Lacob wants to keep the team together and pays hefty fines
I predict if we shoot like that for the rest of the season we will win lots of basketball games.
And to think we got Wiggs and Kuminga for D-Lo. Hehe.
